FTR even if that were to happen I can block Caps tomorrow and get Caps actually HYPER-MAJ'd tomorrow instead of myself.
But the point is that he should try to win in as few phases as possible, not time. Technically reduces the risk of him achieving the wincon so what he does is the optimal play.
