Pokémon Crystal to feature in the Fast Pace for Headspace 2023 charity speedrun marathon event this December 1st, in benefit of Take This

The team at Fast Paced Events will be hosting a charity marathon from December 1st to December 3rd, raising money for Take This, a mental health advocacy organization with a focus on the game industry and community. A randomizer for Pokémon Crystal will feature on the opening day of the event, which will be streamed live on their Twitch channel.

Fast Paced Events was founded in January 2022 by Amber Cyprian, and has since then held speedrun marathons twice a year benefiting various LGBTQ+ and mental health charities. Take This is an organization promoting mental health amongst gamers and those in the gaming industry. They provide resources, training, and support to individuals and companies that help the gaming community improve its mental well-being and resilience, with the aim of addressing the underlying conditions that can create and perpetuate mental health challenges: stigma, harmful studio culture, harassment and toxicity, lack of diversity and accessibility, and problematic game and community design.
