Re: Kanto Starters? Depends on your taste I could say the same about the Johto ones, the idea her is, they are making a big jump to 3D, they want to be nostalgic and show us the Origins anime and giving us the Kanto starters ingame, plus Mewtwo is also somehow tied to the game.

So Gloom has branched/split evolutions, does every grass pokemon need to have that also or every pokemon actually, what about Eevee should everyone get 8 evolutions now? No if his evolution branches due to diferent stones there is nothing wrong with it.
