As Blurrz said, please use the Simple Questions thread to ask simple questions, and look back to see if somebody posted a topic like this, which they did. Anyhoo, just wanted to inform you that by cloning, some people will actually refuse to trade with you. Now you know, and knowing is half the battle.

Well, it's common courtesy to atleast tell people if their Pokemon are cloned or not. Hopefully by being honest, you will get some trades.

It is sometimes claimed that this glitch no longer works because of its constant failure rate. The timing must be exact, so it's suggested that a timer be used to count down 12 seconds at first before turning off the game, and then add 1 second each time it doesn't work, until it eventually works. It can sometimes be just milliseconds off and still not work, not to mention the timing changes every once in awhile, so it's very difficult to do.

So I don't know if you just neglected to read that part of the article, since I know many people who have done it.

Yes but for some reason peopel see it as cheating way more than abusing a glitch.

Yeah, I agree...but that glitch can be a pain in the butt to do since it has to be done without any mistakes.
