Elite Trainer Association - Opened Doors Year One

[Instrutilus]

By 2024AE, action needed to be taken upon the Pokémon World, Sinumonas. Johto was still recovering from the Ultimatism Incident, Under Saffron was becoming overcrowded by crime, thus it was moving into New Saffron and around the region of Kanto, and Hoenn had been rendered uninhabitable by the result of the Hoenn Wars. Thus, several famous trainers stepped up to the plate, under the leadership of the Champion of Champions, Kanto Trainer Red. With the team consisting of Sevii Trainer Green, Kanto Trainer Blue, Wandering Trainers A.D and Cynthia, Johto Trainers Ethan, Crystal, Brendan and Lance and Hoenn Trainer May.

Together, they formed the Elite Trainer Association, which dedicated itself to protecting as much of Sinumonas as they could. Red, calling in a favour with the Super Smash Brothers, had a tower built between the regions, to the south of Mt. Silver and away from White City. Their experiences proved excellent, and order began to return. However, they’re only eleven people taking care of an entire region. Even with the assistance of the Sinnoh Trainers and the Pokémon Rangers, they couldn’t keep everything protected.

That’s where you come in. The year is now 2027AE, and the ETA has decided to recruit trainers in, where A.D, Brendan and Cynthia will teach and train all recruits until they can hold ground against Gamma Level opponents and avoid dying while confronting Omega level opponents. Trainers within the ETA will be expected to complete missions given to them by Ethan, which will be given based on their level. However, there seems to be something amiss…

ETA Omega:

Kanto Trainer Red
Red is the greatest trainer on Sinumonas, having earned the title of Champion of Champions after the last was killed. He never speaks unless in private and around a person he’s comfortable with, thus not much is known about his past, other then that he had begun his journey in 2005AE.

Sevii Trainer Green
Red’s wife, who started her journey alongside him. Prior to that, they had never met each other. Green is a competent observer, able to watch what a person is doing and determine what they’re thinking, if they’re feeling guilty and if they’ve had a small or large meal.

Kanto Trainer Blue Oak
Blue is Red’s old rival, from back when they travelled around Kanto. He has picked up after his grandfather and become quite well versed in how Pokémon work, including what move a Pokémon could potentially learn and when after determining which region is its home.

Wandering Trainer A.D
A.D is nobody, and he prefers it that way. He started his journey in 2003AE, two years before the ‘Colour Trio’, as they’re so nicknamed, alongside Cynthia. He’s a bit cautious, as the Ultimatism Incident has unlocked a huge amount of aura of which he has no control over, unlike Crystal and Riley. He is an expert tactician.

Wandering Trainer Cynthia
Ex-Sinnoh Champion, resident of an unknown region. She’s able to assemble the perfect team, but she tends to downplay this as much as she can, even though in the right hands her team could be near unbeatable. She is on record for taking the longest to defeat in a League match, against now-Sinnoh Champion Dawn.

Johto Trainer Ethan
Ethan is the organiser of events. He is able to keep track of everything, valuable in battle because he is able to recall when a Pokémon disappears or a Pokéball is rolled and attempts to organise his strategy accordingly. This has put him at even odds with A.D and Red himself!

Johto Trainer Crystal
Crystal is Ethan’s wife. She remains silent to all, other then Ethan. Therefore, not much is known of her past, much the same as Red. She seems to have the amazing ability to evolve Pokémon that evolve via levels she comes into contact with, but will only use it if the Pokémon really wants to evolve.

Johto Trainer Lance
Lance is the former Kanjo Champion, before he was defeated by Ethan. He was once a member of the Elite Four, before trying his luck at the Championship after Red left. After he was beaten, he went back home to Blackthorn City, then travelled for a bit before returning to join the ETA.

Johto Trainer Brendan
Brendan was the Hoenn Champion, before its destruction. He is an ace in sweeping the battlefield, useful for taking out mooks in large conflicts and exposing the legitimate threats, which he is usually able to take out before they can him. He’s still a bit touchy about what happened to Hoenn, since he wasn’t there when the conflict had occurred.

Hoenn Trainer May
May is one of few remaining Hoenn-born Trainers on Sinumonas. She is a researcher, but more about habitats, working with Blue to determine where a Pokémon comes from and therefore their potential moveset. She is married to Brendan and has a daughter, Solana, named after the Pokémon Ranger in Fiore.

Personality:Very calm, and gentle. Not one to overreact unless it’s an emergency. Doesn’t really talk much, but if she trusts you, she’ll open up a lot more when it comes to that. A girl that cries and gets depressed easily. She has a heart of gold, but she’s had to keep it sealed from people because of how they took advantage of her. She hates being sick, but because of her weak immune system, she is often ill. She is a hopeless romantic who somtimes is can get to be too much of one. She has Asperger's Syndrome, and therefore, is socially awkward.


Realtionship: She has a good relationship with her mother and father. However, she's naturally a 'daddy's girl' so her relationship with her father is better than with her mother. She doesn't really have any friends except one. Never had a romantic relationship either.


History: Rebecca used to live in Mossdeep City with her parents until she decided that she wanted to train Pokemon. Her parents let her travel around the Unova region, where she started off with her shiny Purrloin, Shay. During her travels, she has encountered many Pokemon, and has made many memories with the Pokemon she has with her. After finishing her journey in Unova, she returned to Mossdeep City. When she heard about the ETA, she decided to join.

However, Rebecca and her family are the exception. When it comes to Rebecca, she acts like an innoent kitten. She jumps in Rebecca's arms and loves to be cuddled. Her relationship with Munchies is that of a brother/sister. Munchies tries to get her to play with him, but she won't. She just seems to think he pesters her for no reason. She does care about him though. She does have a good, gentle disposition when it comes to Tiny though. She has cared for him since he was a Rufflet, and even though he's a Wargle now, she still sees him as her own child.

A weird little quirk he obtained upon evolving is that he drools all the time. If he's hungry, he drools a lot more.

Relationships: He was separated from his family at a very young age, and doesn't know if any of his family members are still alive. He has no current girlfriend, but he might get one as he meets more people.

History: Kenneth has never met his parents or any other family members. He grew up with another family who took him in until he was 10, when he went off on his adventure with his first pokemon, Growlithe. When he was 16, he found out about ETA and now at 17, he is wanting to join.

Age: 22 (due to an accident when he was fifteen he just started aging again six years ago, he should be 28)

Physical Appearance: Elliot has long ruffled black hair that goes down to his neck, he has a fairly white skin almost tanned and a pair of blue eyes, he has a scar that goes along his right arms as well as a small one on his neck. Elliot has an athletic built from traveling for so long.

Clothing: Elliot wears a long sleeved aqua blue vest with white stripes around the waist, the vest has white under it and he normally wears the neck of it raised up, showing up the whit edges of it. He wears his vest with the neck open to show the black undershirt he wears under it as well as a pair of jet black pants and black sneakers which look worn out. Elliot carries two small bags that he strapped around his belt along with his pokeball, one has a dagger in it and the other one has an Ultra Ball in it. Elliot also wears a white heart shaped necklace.

Personality: Elliot's very outgoing towards anything relating to Pokemon, when he started out he was sarcastic and hotheaded but as he's traveled he has calmed down and become more collected and calculative. Elliot sometimes tends to act rashly though and other times he acts on his own, normally getting himself into trouble with anyone.

While Elliot doesn't have trouble getting along with people, he does tend to come off as a bit annoying at times when he tries to look cool in front of someone. He is very protective though and would even risk his life fore his friends.

Relationships: He has two rivals one who he hasn't seen in years and another one, a girl who he traveled along with and trained with for six years, he also has two students one is a girl that likes to collect ribbons named Stacy and the other is a trainer from Sinnoh named Jared. He also has a sister a brother in law and a mom back in Pallet Town.

History: Elliot is originally from Pallet Town, he started his journey after finding an astray Charmander, after Professor Oak approved of him he started traveling around Kanto battling with a group of Team Rocket wannabees along with his two rivals who started out with him.

Elliot went through a lot of adventures and battles over the years, even losing his best friend Kenji and making more friends. When he was fifteen he and his friend Hareta were sent through a time vortex, as thus they didn't age.

Five years after Elliot came back he left to travel again to search for his missing father, however he decided that he has to become stronger, both him and his Pokemon so he joined ETA to try and protect Sinumonas as well as to get stronger

She is flirty yet sophisticated and elegant due to her heritage. She is quite dominant and won't hesitate to speak to anyone or anything.

Due to her flirty yet loud personality she sometimes scares boys by being seen a little scary. She will help anyone no matter what and believes everyone is good somewhere. However, she isn't naive and weak. She is very determined and gives her everything in all that she does.

When she is not doing any of the above she is in a skimpy bikini and shades and tanning on the beach. There was one point at 17 where she ran away with a guy that she thought she loved. Of course she came back home after she found out he was going to use her for vulgar acts.

Her Milotic is her closest pokemon. She rescued it when she was 6 after finding it on the shore injured. Therefore after many years and training it is her powerhouse. Ricky is of average height and slim weight. He stands at around 5'9" and weighs only 128 lbs. His most striking feature is this albinism. Ricky is an albino. He has snow white hair and very pale skin. His eyes are as red as the blood in his veins and he has a high sensitivity to sunlight. He keeps his teeth pearl white and has grown his hair slightly long. Clean-shaven and well kept, Ricky values cleanliness. He has long bony fingers and toes. On his back is a tattoo of an eye, as are on the back of his hands.

Ricky often wears a black trench coat during the daylight hours due to his sensitivity to sunlight. Otherwise, his dress is very mature. He wears light-brown boat shoes or a dark colored dress shoes. He prefers dark denim and black slacks, as it keeps him protected from the sun's rays. Often times he wears button-down, long sleeve shirts or sweaters, and always has a pair of shades. For the purpose of ease, for this RP he will be wearing a pink button-down shirt with long sleeves, black casual fit slacks, darker colored boat shoes (Sperry's) and his trench coat. Also, he will have black socks, a brown belt, and grey Aviator shades.

Home town/Region:
Born in Mauville, but raised in lived in Blackthorn City. SO Blackthorn City and Johto.

History:
Ricky was born in fast-paced Mauville city. His parents were both two very successful Coordinators in Hoenn who were rising to fame, and Ricky was really an accident- a baby really wasn't in their plan for fame. However, they accepted the mistake and gave birth to him. Ricky was born slightly underweight and had many problems as a newborn, the biggest being albinism, something that had run in the dad's family. For his sake, they moved far away to the calmer and quieter Blackthornn city, where the air was fresher and the mountains provided a natural shade which would allow Ricky to grow easier.

But they weren't ready to give up their dream yet. Within a few months of his birth they flew away to Sinnoh, leaving Ricky under the care of a local nanny (who he still considers real family) and pursued their contest dreams. This became a constant in Ricky's life. By the age of five he was fully independent. His parents were gone more than half of his life, and he grew up with the nanny and took care of himself.

On his tenth birthday, he awoke alone like most other days. His parents had sent him a gift from far away, in a plain cardboard box labelled with foreign stamps. In it was an egg. Ricky took to this egg like a child, taking the up most care of it. Before his parents were back, it had hatched into a young Riolu, his first Pokemon. This changed his life, and he decided that he would become a trainer. So, at age ten, he left home.

He first went to Dragon's Den, a sign of rebellion. He had always been told by the elders not to go in there. But he didn't get far before he found a dieing Dratini. The dragon-type Pokemon had somehow been injured, and Ricky desperately tried to save it. His attempts failed. But as a final gift of gratitude for Ricky's kindness, the dragon merged it's orb into Ricky, inubing Ricky with the dragon's life aura. He passed out, and was rescued by a boy named AD.

Thus became Ricky's journey. For nearly 15 years he and AD were inseparable. Ricky followed him until AD gave in, and the two became best friends. Together they filled their youth with happiness, traveling all over the globe and helping many. Eventually they went their separate ways, but they always run into each other all over the world.

Recently Ricky moved to Mt.Silver, near his old hometown Blackthorn. Although he still and always will hold a grudge against his parents, he recently met his younger brother, and is on good terms with him. Ricky went into extensive training for about a year in Mt. Silver and has now returned to traveling.


Personality:
Ricky's primary mode of living is focused internally, in which he deals with things according to how he feels about them. His secondary more is external, taking things in via intuition. He is focused on making the world a better place for people and Pokemon. His goal in life is to find out his meaning in life. What is his purpose? How can he best serve people and Pokemon? He is an idealist and perfectionist, and he drives himself hard in his quest for achieving any and all goals he has identified for himself.

Ricky is highly intuitive about people. He relies heavily on his intuition to guide him, and he uses his discoveries [about people] to constantly search for value in life. Ricky is on a continuous mission to find the truth and meaning in underlying things. Every encounter and every piece of knowledge gained gets sifted through his value system, and is evaluated to see if it has any potential in helping him define or refine his path in life. The goal at the end of the path is always the same though- to help people and make the world a better place.

Generally thoughtful and considerate, Ricky can be a good listener and puts people at ease. Although he can be reserved in expressing emotion, he as a very deep well of caring and is genuinely interested in understanding people. This sincerity is often sensed by others, making Ricky a valued friend and confidante. He can be quite warm with people he knows well.

Ricky truly does not mind conflict (sometimes even enjoying it), but will usually avoid it. If he must face it, he will always approach it from the perspective of his feelings. In conflict situations, he places little importance on who is right or wrong. He focuses on the way that the conflict makes him feel, and doesn't truly care whether he is right or not. This trait may sometimes make him seem irrational and illogical in conflict situations. Still, he is a good mediator, and is typically good at solving others conflicts since he intuitively understands people's perspectives and feelings, and genuinely wants to help them.

Ricky is flexible and laid-back, until one of his values is violated. In the face of his value system being threatened, he can become an aggressive defender, fighting passionately for his cause. When Ricky has adopted a project or job which interests him, it usually becomes a "cause" for him. Although he isn't really a detail-orientated person, he will cover every possible detail with determination and vigor when working for his cause.

When it comes to mundane details of life maintenance, however, Ricky is typically completely unaware of such things. He wouldn't notice a stain on his shirt.

Often times Ricky doesn't like to deal with hard facts and logic (not always). His focus on feelings and human conditions makes it difficult for him to deal with impersonal judgement. He doesn't understand the validity of it, which makes him quite ineffective at it. Yet, he has developed a sense of impersonal analysis and can prove to be quite logical when he wants to be. Under stress it is not uncommon for him to miss-use hard logic in the heat of anger, throwing out fact after fact in an emotional outburst.

Ricky is a talented writer (and a terrible artist, although he enjoys drawing). He has no issues expressing himself verbally, but has a much easier and better ability to define and express what he is feeling on paper.

History: Found as a Mudkip in Hoenn, it seems the baby Pokemon had slipped from his Pokeball and wandered the wild for some time, until finding Ricky. Wanting to be trained, Mudkip chose to stick with Ricky. She is Ricky's fifth Pokemon.

Special appearance traits: Hands are scarred with burn marks and cuts.
Nature: Jolly and Curious
Ability: Sand Stream
History: Ricky found Kihag as a baby Larvitar. The baby was wandering a desert and seemed curious when Ricky set up camp for the night. He was extremely enticed by the camp fire, sticking his hands in them and burning them severly. Ricky awoke to the young Larvitar's cries and rescued it. Larvitar then stayed with Ricky. Later, he returned the favor and protected Ricky from a pack of Sycther, injuring his hands again in the incident. He is Ricky's seventh Pokemon.

Special appearance traits: All his eyes are blue instead of red.
Nature: Gentle
Ability: Magnet Pull
History: Magnezone, back when it was a Magnemite, was attracted by a magnet in Ricky's pack one day when Ricky was travelling through a cave. It managed to sneak into Ricky's pack, but couldn't get back out. When Ricky opened his pack, they were far from the cave, so Magnetmite decided to stick with Ricky. It is Ricky's third Pokemon.

History: Ricky's sixth Pokemon, Ricky rescued her from being annoyed to death by a group of naggy Spinda. She now resides in Ricky's home in Mt.Silver, taking care of it while Ricky is gone.

History: Tang and Tong were together long before Ricky found them. The mischievous duo followed and pranked Ricky many times, but soon they took a liking to him and stuck with him. They now live in his Mt.Silver home under the care of Skar. They are Ricky's last Pokemon.

Physical Appearance:
Atlas is very muscular, tall, and imposing. He is tan from growing up on the beaches of Fuchsia, and has a crooked nose that he gave himself when he was younger to look more dangerous. He has rather long hair, almost as long as his twin sister's, and it's pitch black. His eyes are actually the same color, giving the unnerving effect of seemingly having no pupils.

Clothing:
Similar to a dark bluish version of what Koga wears, except he also wears a large, black overcoat and has katanas, wakizashis, and sais everywhere he can fit them, and a Zanbato (basically a katana the size of a claymore) on his back to top it off; he can use every one of them very well, and sharpens them in his free time, after every fight he uses them, when he wants to get away from someone, and when he wants to look menacing. Or has an excuse to.

Personality:
Atlas acts like dumb muscle, and, in fact, can play the part very well; however, he takes pains to be aware of his surroundings so his muscle doesn't go to waste, and, while he doesn't strategize much, he understands most of it very well and usually contributes an idea or two if needed.

Relationships:
Derne, his fraternal twin sister, and the trainers at Fuchsia Gym, his surrogate family.

Personality: If Atlas points to it, Nidoking atomizes, or at least turns it into the tiniest particles he can manage. Off the battlefield, Nidoking is Atlas's first and closes Pokemon, and the unofficial leader of the party.

Personality: Weezing is mainly used when Atlas needs to exploit a type disadvantage, and uses many differently-typed attacks. It's a pinch hitter, used rarely but nearly never loses. This has made it somewhat haughty.

Personality: Seviper is almost hilariously stereotypical for a snake; sneaky, backstabbing, cowardly... And if you insult it, it will tear you to shreds.
Ability: Infiltrator

Personality: Crobat was Atlus's second Pokemon, and incredibly fast to compliment Nidoking's strength. He is often seen on Atlus's shoulder, looking menacing, when he's really just a softy to people who pet him.

Personality: Toxicroak lives for fighting; if someone can give him a good fight, he respects them. His goal is to beat everyone, and he challenges Nidoking at every opportunity only to end up at the center of a crater.
Ability: Poison Touch

Name: Gengar
Level: 70
Personality: Gengar is the most devious Pokemon anyone's every seen. He'll take cheap shots, hit below the belt, sneak attack... and that's when he's fighting 'fair'.
Ability: Levitate

History: Atlas grew up in Fuchsia with his sister, never knowing their parents; they were found outside the Gym one night asking for food. They were taken in and raised as trainers, gaining some local fame for their amazing tag battles. However, they've been wondering a lot about their parents recently, and left Fuchsia to look for them last year. However, they haven't been doing very well, and they were recently robbed by an old friend. They wound up at the ETA, and joined so they could make a living while travelling, searching for their parents, after they became official trainers.

Physical Appearance:
Like Atlas, Derne has black eyes and hair, and is also tan. However, she is much tinier, barely coming up to Atlas's chest; her hair reaches her knees when it's loose, but it's usually up in a complicated ponytail that restricts it to her upper back.

Clothing:
Like Atlas, she wears a darker version of what Koga wears. She also keeps various poisons on her body in the form of powders, syringes, and a few darts.

Personality:
Derne is very friendly and intelligent; Atlas relies on her strategic skills to bring them through. However, she has been shown to be fallible, even against people she knows about, but always comes up with another plan, with varying degrees of success or even workability.

Relationships:
Atlas's fraternal twin sister.

Party:
Name: Nidoqueen
Level: 84
Personality: Caring, protective, and vicious to anyone she thinks might have hurt her teammates. Her immense defenses can stand up to even Nidoking's onslaughts for extended periods of time, and she utilizes trap-like attacks to make up for her lack of all-out brute strength.
Ability: Poison Point

Name: Drapion
Level: 74
Personality: Drapion is Derne's main attacker, usually only seeing battle after the rest of the team has rigged the fight enough that Drapion's offensive abilities are little more than a formality. While not nearly as strong as Atlas's main beatsticks, Drapion houses respectable power and possesses good durability behind its tough shell.

Personality: Tentacruel gives Gengar a run for its money in the deviousness category. With its wide variety of support, defensive, and hindering attacks, Tentacruel goes for any cheap shot that appears.

Personality: Venusaur is tough-as-nails, grumpy, and intimidating to anything it can find to scare.
Ability: Chlorophyll

Name: Roserade

Personality: Roserade is close with Derne, being her second Pokemon, and her only Pokemon besides Drapion with any real offensive capability. However, Roserade is very versatile, being able to use offensive attacks, supportive attacks, and hindering attacks with equal skill.
Ability: Poison Point

Personality: Happy and touchy-feely. Muk on the loose is what usually deplete's Derne's supply of antidotes.
