Someone was saying they had a shiny ditto, and breeding it with any normal pokemon would produce shiny eggs/pokemon. Is this true? I was kind of skeptical, but I wasn't sure...

Seriously, I've tried breeding Shiny with normal, and unforntunately, it dosen't work...
I've even tried breeding two shines together and I get nothing out of it.

The odds of getting a shiny offspring are increased in GSC, but none of the subsequent generations. And it was never a guaranteed thing.

Indeed, because of the way DVs work in GSC, an egg with one shiny parent has a 1/64 chance of being of an alternate color. (Contrary to common sense, having two shiny parents will not increase these odds -- in fact, two shiny Pokemon won't breed at all! This is because the game thinks they are related.)
