Other way around actually. Since in episode 60 Ash gets a team change, Goh will get a permanent team change in episode 59 with Grookey. Its also basically a flipflop.

Interesting that we are going to see Wikstrom again already. Maybe this time its an official PWC match. Maybe the reason why Gohs Scyther evolved before Sirfetch'd is because we are gonna see Wikstrom Mega Evolving his Scizor against Sirfetch'd. Imagine Sirfetch'd beating it, that would instantly elevate it above Lucario in terms of power.

E4 need not to mega evolve to defeat ash cuz today i saw aegeslash in its blade form took plenty of attacks from both scyther and farfetchd but it didnt happen to sweat even

When Goh buys the grookey they'll make Farfetch Sirfetch to reduce backlash.

The writers are smart, but the real problem is not Goh picking up Grookey.

Goh is the focal point of the Pokemon anime. That's the real problem.

It's interesting that they didn't give Ash a starter. But it doesn't matter.

The pokemon Kubfu or Latias to be given to Ash. I hope he will.

More like above Charizard( Ash's) in power. But as Colt said there's no reason to use Scizor let alone Mega Evolve it, probably would be Escavalier or Honedge, and if that's the case, probably would be another training episode where Wik's Pokemon don't go all out.

Farfetch'd is for sure evolving here. I believe that Ash will get himself another unevolved Pokemon not long after this.

Of course, they might want Galarian Farfetch'd to evolve so that Ash can move on to a new unevolved Pokemon to train.

I can see this going one of two ways - Wilkstrom contacts Ash, somehow, don’t ask how, and notifies him that he wants to challenge him since he sees potential in Farfetch’d. That, or Wilkstrom’s challenge got the attention of Rinto, and he beat the challenge as well, and requested for Ash to battle, hoping they’ve improved their technique.
That way, in no possible shape or form, can Goh possibly be tagged along...

Kind of shows you, everything goes down after the two-parter filler episodes.
