"Chapter 1... 'The Day of Beginning.' A lovely start," Cynthia said as she turned a page and started reading.​


Days had gone by since the new prince claimed the crown. The pokemons could only whisper among themselves, spreading rumor and gossip.

The followers of the new prince did not help anyone in the kingdom, and the pokemons had no one to turn to when they had trouble.

Oh, how they wished for their good prince to come back.

How they wished for the knights to save them all.


The new prince never cared for anyone's happiness except his own. Yet, he always felt something was missing.

He spent hours grooming, choosing new clothes, reassuring himself that he was the best.

The same words heard everyday, could be heard today as well.

"Mirror mirror on the wall, who is the fairest of them all?"

However, when he looked in the mirror, all he could see was the sleeping prince.


When will he surpass his beauty?

"Cynthia, Cynthia!" Caitlin exclaimed as she leaned over the large bed. "Is it true this book is full of handsome, pretty boys?"
"Yes," Cynthia replied. "Nothing happened much as of yet. I'm only finished with Chapter 1."
"Who wrote this story?" Caitlin asked. "Oh, it's Shauntal, right?"
Cynthia didn't answer as she turned the page to Chapter 2.​


The new prince glanced at the mirror for one last time before heading back to bed. The day had been boring, yet exhausting, with nothing new, and no events.

Once the lights in the castle went out, the pokemons tip-toed outside and busily exchanged information.

Rumor said that they would be saved someday, and it gave the pokemons hope.

They gathered and said a prayer.

May the brave heroes of their kingdom arrive safely.
