♪In the egg industry process, the male chicks are thought as losses♪

♪So they're dumped on a conveyor belt and the males get sorted out♪

♪Those boy chicks are sadly fated to be cruelly terminated♪

♪While they take the female chicks and they get clipped upon the snout♪

♪From there, the hens are raised cramped inside a filthy cage♪

♪So we can eat their ovulation and that's actually rather strange♪

♪Or sometimes their crowded prison has no bars for their division♪

♪And in marketing, they label that "free range"♪

♪Learning these facts made me think "Gee, those chickens' lives must stink"♪

♪And if you have compassion then I hope you'd do the same♪

♪I can't save 'em all from dying, I can't stop 'em all from buying♪

♪But at least I won't be one of those to blame♪
