I meant in new episodes. -_- And EP048 is totally canon, as it has been recently mentioned in the current Pokémon series. It even got a sequel in DP.

No, it's not dub only I said this every time it got brought up (as my justification to why bikegang/poketech are canon) because he DIRECTLY mentions them both! And as Meron said, there's no way in hell that ep 48 could even suggested to be un-canon, especially now.

Well let me politely disagree with you. The hoso isn't the only reason I don't think it's canon, there's something else.

The writer of this episode no longer works on the show. And remembering Blackjack meeting with a writer who no longer works on the show, (may as been this guy for all I know) he said the writers rarely talked to each back then, so they didn't really know what happened in the other episodes. Considering this was such a minor part of the episode, I wouldn't be surprised if Junki just bever knew that was said.

He's kind of a big deal. And he wrote Nyasu's past, I can't imagine why THAT wouldn't still be canon just because he hasn't written an episode since late Johto.

The reason I think Meowth does have a Pokeball is because of a dub line in "Island of the Giant Pokemon" way back when. Meowth has just heard from Ekans and Koffing that there's no such thing as a bad Pokemon, only bad masters. Horrified, Meowth says "But my master's not around, and I always seem to act like a rat!" ...which implies he DOES have one. Does the Japanese line imply anything similar...?

I prefer that the hoso is the first time Musashi and Kojiro met, in today's anime canon. I don't personally consider the bike gang as canon anymore, unless it's brought up again in a new episode. But I'm fine with everyone else's views, unless they say that the hoso isn't canon or something.

They're bringing up old Kanto stuff, so there is a tiny possibility the bike gang might be mentioned again, if it really is canon anymore.

I can't see how a thing can stop being canon, really... Even if "Ai to Seishun no Genten" was promoted as the episode that shows how Team Rocket met for the first time (Team Rocket! not Kojiro and Musashi only), I'm still deluding myself that bike gang (well, after Dustox' goodbye episode I was kinda happy to learn that Pokemon Tech isn't canon anymore xD) is still a canon. Moreover, I don't want my hard work to go in vain... hey, I've lost one year for that stupid doujinshi and now you're saying it was for nothing... booo D:

So either Takegami failed and forgot about Kanto canon at all (yet he made perfect continuity for Nyasu's past... it's weird, isn't it?), either there is just some gap in their past.

And since DP is famous for its continuity, then who knows, maybe bike gang will be mentioned someday again.

In Japanese version of Holy Matrimony, Kojiro mentioned failing exams for PokeTech only, as far as I remember. They've never got enrolled.

But, no matter if they got enrolled or not, you could have a feeling like if they knew each other at that time from their talk... the same goes for bike gang. And if they don't know each other at that times, how each of them would know that the other tried to enroll in Pokemon Tech/lived in Sunny Town/joined the bike gang and so on? Only if they talked about if off-screen. But in fact, they didn't. Before Holy Matrimony, Musashi never knew about Kojiro's background, and before Holiday Hi-Jynx / Snow Way-out Kojiro didn't have idea about Musashi's. Moreover, when in Poke Tech episode Kojiro states something about being pulled into dark cage/having a dakr past/whatever Musashi asks him for details... and he refuses to tell her more. You think if he refused to tell her about his "poor rich boy" background, he would do an exception for bike gang/Pokemon Tech?
That would have no sense...:/

Aww, I was actually going to mention your doujinshi, and that its plot is the second version most comfortable for me. I absolutely love your doujinshi, but I have just developed my own view over the past months.
