Between a potential price drop, buying a used system and waiting for a cheaper model that has basically been teased... Being done with Pokemon is an extreme option. And if you don't need your (presumably still functional) Wii U anymore, GameStop will give you $120 in-store credit for it ($110 for a 3DS XL and $90 for a regular 3DS).Pokemon on switch dosent sway me either way,if I had to own switch to play I'd just be done with pokemon,not paying at least 400 to play.
I bought a used 3DS in 2013 for $100. It serves me well even now.
