I think that Ash will eventually get a legendary since he has encountered so many.
He technically already got 5, since Ultra Beasts are sub-legendaries.

True. As far as I know Mythical just means "DLC Legendary".There’s quite literally no difference between Mythical and Legendary beyond the marketing title they get.
They're not. They're a similar, but separate group. He technically already got 5, since Ultra Beasts are sub-legendaries.

I respectfully disagree. The two terms have been distinctive in Japan since day one. It's just its late implementation into the international terminology that's made some people hesitant to accept "Legendary" and "Mythical" as different things.True. But there’s no in-universe justification for Mewtwo and Genesect falling under different categories. The one difference between Mythicals and Legendaries is marketing status, so I don’t get why people are so adamant about correcting this every single time when they are the same thing within context. They're not. They're a similar, but separate group.

The only destinction is how they are obtained in the games, but that doesn't apply to the anime.I respectfully disagree. The two terms have been distinctive in Japan since day one. Maybe because they were clearly trying to focus on Cinderace's development first?
Still doesn't affect that it still applies to their species as a whole. The only destinction is how they are obtained in the games, but that doesn't apply to the anime.
Mythicals Are LegendariesStill doesn't affect that it still applies to their species as a whole.
Yes But They Are Still LegendaryIn some circumstances Mythical and Legendaries are nearly same in some they aren't.
I distinguished both classes by assuming that Legendaries are Gods and Mythicals are Prophets.
So Grookey is confirmed then? Okay.Sayuri Ichiishi is the former lead character designer for the Pokémon anime and currently works at OLM.
