Pokémon Evolution/Capture/Release Thread

He technically already got 5, since Ultra Beasts are sub-legendaries.
They're not. They're a similar, but separate group.
There’s quite literally no difference between Mythical and Legendary beyond the marketing title they get.
True. As far as I know Mythical just means "DLC Legendary".
I respectfully disagree. The two terms have been distinctive in Japan since day one. It's just its late implementation into the international terminology that's made some people hesitant to accept "Legendary" and "Mythical" as different things.

But there’s no in-universe justification for Mewtwo and Genesect falling under different categories. The one difference between Mythicals and Legendaries is marketing status, so I don’t get why people are so adamant about correcting this every single time when they are the same thing within context.

The only destinction is how they are obtained in the games, but that doesn't apply to the anime.

Maybe because they were clearly trying to focus on Cinderace's development first?

Yeah, it feels like they are focusing on one starter at a time in terms of development. Cinderace is finished, so now it is Sobble’s turn.

I believe that if Ash gets Grookey then it will mean officially that Gen 8 will last for four years and we won't see Gen 9 until 2023.
