basicaly was wondering if i make 1 more jolteon raised like this and breed them together with anklet on should i hopefuly get better outcome of children then? kind of want to make a scary jolteon xD
If indeed you just focused on raising Sp. Attack/Speed then the IVs for those stats would be 8 and 18, respectively. Depends on how picky you want to be with those stats, but the Special Attack is on the low side and the Speed is just a bit above average.

How Power Anklet works with breeding is that passes down the Speed IV of the parent that is holding it. If this particular Jolteon was holding it then its offspring would have a Speed IV of 18. In normal circumstances of breeding the offspring would inherit 3 random stats from either parent and the rest are random. If you use a Power item (like Anklet) then that IV is passed down as well as two random stats from either parent and the rest are random.

Something important to note is that there is no way to modify IVs of a Pokemon once you have acquired it (even in egg form). A Power item merely increases the amount of Effort Values you receive from battles, though each stat can only receive a maximum of 252 EVs and an individual Pokemon can only receive a total of 510 EVs.

Re: Simple Questions / Simple Answers (Gens 1-4)

So... I'm playing Explorers of Sky and there's a few questions I have about it...

1) Is it possible that after you do the quiz to see which Pokemon you are, you can be a shiny version of that Pokemon?
2) Is it possible for your partner to be a shiny?
3) I know you can evolve in the game (since mine was used, the last person who had it was a Lucario with Snorlax as his partner) but how difficult is it to evolve?
4) Can you only evolve after you've beaten the main storyline?
5) What does the IQ stat do?
7) Are there any items you can use to restore PP in a dungeon?

And that's about it.

1 - no
2 - no
3 - you can't evolve til after you beat the main story, depending on how difficult you find it depends on what pokemon you pick to be as, and what method they use to evolve
4 - yes
5 - ..this i dont remember. sorry. There prolly is though, such as the PP Saver/Deep Breather team skills.

If you're wondering about all that IQ does, I suggest consulting this page.

And to answer you last question, Max Elixir.

Re: Simple Questions Simple Answers (XY Edition)

Okay I'm confused here. I have an English Gengar with a Japanese nickname I got off wonder trade. O__O

It must have been an English Gastly/Haunter and evolved in Japan. Don't forget when a Foreign Pokemon evolves, its name (assuming it isn't nicknamed) becomes its evolution's name in the language of the game it is currently in. So a Japanese Snorunt who evolved into Froslass on an English game would end up being called "Froslass".

Re: Simple Questions Simple Answers (XY Edition)

I've even had a Japanese Pokemon or two, with what I assumed to be their Japanese name, keep it exactly the same after it evolved. I don't immediately recognize Japanese names, so the first time I saw it happen I remember being confused at first as to why it didn't change to English, but then realizing the Japanese OT obviously nicknamed it.

Re: Simple Questions Simple Answers (XY Edition)

Does the Destiny Knot draw the five IVs from both parents or just the one parent that holds it?

It randomly draws 5 IV's from both parents.

Re: Simple Questions Simple Answers (XY Edition)

Is there any difference between US and UK Pokémon as far as the Masuda Method is concerned (as in, is a US Pokémon foreign for a UK game and vice-versa)?

I found in Bulbapedia and every website that "The Masuda method involves breeding two Pokémon created in games of different countries" Meaning that since UK and US are different countries it'll work.

Re: Simple Questions Simple Answers (XY Edition)

Bulbapedia says that Whirlipede's abilities should be Poison Point, Swarm or Quick Feet (Quick Feet being the hidden one) but the Whirlipede I just caught in Friend Safari has Speed Boost. Is this an oops on the wiki's part, or have some 'mons had their abilities changed in the new gen?

On the Speed Boost page, it says that the Venipede line's HA got switched to Speed Boost in Gen VI. Looks like Venipede's and Whirlipede's pages just need updating.

Huh. I wonder what would (theoretically) happen if a Quick Feet Whirlipede was transferred. Would the ability change? Stay the same? I can't remember any way to get a ha Whirlipede in BW/2 so there's probably no way to tell, but I do wonder how that would work...

Re: Simple Questions / Simple Answers (Gen 5)

You know in Pokemon Rumble Blast there are Pokemon you can get via Password? Well, can you recruit them again if you release the Password Pokemon?
If this is right, you can. I haven't tried it myself, so I can't vouch for it either way.

That would be the Dream World :B

Bit of a newbie question...

One thing I am wondering... Is there any way to store pokemon while in Aquacorde town? I am about to head into the forest and I need some room in my party for new catches.

Re: Simple Questions Simple Answers (XY Edition)

Nope, there's no PC until Santalune City, on the other side of the forest.

Anyone know what the recipe for farming Tamato berries is? That's the only EV berry I'm missing. Wikipage says Sitrus and Lum, but I've planted them in alternating plots twice (and am now making a third attempt) and have seen precisely zero mutations occuring (even with Surprise Mulch). Every other berry mutation has occured like 80% of the time if I just plant the matching trees together (even without Surprise Mulch), but the Sitrus and Lum simply refuse to mix. I'm wasting my time.

I've gotten Tamato berries from Sitrus/Lum combinations. Sounds like you're just getting unlucky with that one.

No, it's still Language-based - they must have different language tags (ITA + JPN/FRE + ENG/ENG+SPA). US and UK games share a language tag.
