Things in Pokemon that don't make sense

As ways to keep you from advancing too far without getting the right badges, and to keep the path linear in a non-linear map.

Now, the path is linear, and there aren't really any major obstacles that make use of TM's/

I just think that it take that 'journey' feeling the game was supposed to give

Ignoring the Pokédex entries as exaggerations made by the younger audience that may or may not tend to write them, most things in Pokémon can be explained if you think them through a bit. For example, Diglett obviously has some sort of mouth that it uses to take in food, it just isn't necessarily shown in artwork. Growl would be produced out of that mouth.

The standard RPG attitude of no-consequence breaking and entering and some things such as how Water Pokémon store at least fifteen times their body's weight in water to use for attacks don't make sense, I'll agree on that. It's an acceptable suspension of disbelief.

I always either attributed a lot of things that don't make sense to "standard RPG convention" or just "magic", but one thing bothers me.

Why does no one call out Lance when he orders a Dragonite to attack a person? And how does that same person survive friggin' HYPER BEAM?

A ten year old can take out a legendary pokemon while the the leader of a criminal organization needs the Red Chain to control them.

Cubone is said to have the skull of it's mom,but it'ss diferent fro a Marowak's(a possible parent) plus there's no difference in the sprite of the mom later.

How does diglett use aerial ace?

How a pokemon created in a computer is in the outside world...

How can you use an attack like Explosion, Earthquake or some other high powered attack and not completely demolish the building.

If Team Plasma wants to liberate pokémon, why do they use pokémon to fight? Wouldn't using machines or something make them less hypocritical?

Lots of stuff. The stuff that would be considered impossible in the real World like leaving home at age 10. Not having a Pokemon until you're ten so affectingly having
no defense against wild Pokemon attacks until then. When you see the gang with average sized backpacks yet when they stop somewhere to take a break in the wilderness they have ridiculous amounts of cutlery, table and chairs, big sleeping bags. So basically magic backpacks with unlimited space.
The fact that almost everyone wants to be a Pokemon master but the rest of society hasn't crumbled around them.
The fact that supposedly, perfectly average human beings can withstand electrocution and fire and not die.
It's really endless.....

You can lie to all the Pokemon Professors starting from Birch onwards about your gender despite the fact that you seem to be standing right in front of them.

There are female Mr. Mimes.

(There are no male Jynxes, though. Thank god.)
