Was Pokemon Origins good or bad?

Ugh, Charizard's first Mega Evolution has been neglected ever since that jet black piece of pretty eye candy hit the scene.

Except in Smogon Doubles.

Anyway, Pokémon Origins always felt bland to me. I used to put it down to Red sounding exactly the same as Kirito from Sword Art Online (I know it's the same voice actor, but still), but now I feel it's because it's a fast-paced nostalgia trip for something from before my time. Also, duller colour palettes never feel right to me.

Also, was Pokémon Origins made by OLM or not?

I definitely prefer Charizard Y and I agree with you that it is the colouring that helped it. In my opinion, I think that in terms of singles and everything, Charizard Y is better.

Yes. In fact there were actually three animation studios involved. Production I.G. did the first episode, Xebec for 2 and 3 and OLM for the last episode.
