POPULAR: What Did You Write Today?

172 words today and a tweak or two. I think I also didn't save yesterday's three words because it didn't seem to be on my backup... >.> Anyway, I dunno what was up with the past few days, but I feel better today since I didn't feel like I was needing to force myself.
 
Yesterday and today I edited. My editing is literally changing the entire story but that’s very common for me to do. It usually gives me time to mull over the plot and think about what I like and what I don’t like and what also makes sense.

Editing is overall more fun than writing but I have a really hard time getting into editing mode because I can’t stand the dialogue I see.
 
Meant to mention this earlier but I had errands to run. Wrote the next chapter of Dawn of Courage this morning ("Demonic Dealings"). It's a small arc but it has significant plot importance.

Anyway, the party is traveling through some badlands. The party reflects about the last time they had to travel through some badlands, remembering the oasis town from long ago and the incident that Dominic caused during that time, filling Elizabetta in on what happened since she was not part of the group at the time. Suddenly, the Demon King Ring detects something and forcefully drags Nova in a certain direction quite quickly, forcing Nina to transform into her phoenix form to carry the party and chase after him. The ring leads the party to the hidden city of the Demon Clan, a city where some demons from the Netherworld set up shop as part of Belzebuth's plan, but despite knowledge of the city existing no one on Edyn has ever seen the city itself. Until now. The demons at the gate contact someone named Duskmane before guiding the party into the city to meet him. Duskmane, referred to as the "guard dog" of the city, conducts an interrogation to see if Nova is truly the Demon King's champion, among other information. He reveals that General Crimzon, Belzebuth's right-hand man, has been waiting for a Demon King champion to appear, but because the Demon Clan hid themselves a bit too well in order to avoid being detected by Muu, Nova is the first Demon King champion to find the city since the Great War ended. As such because most of the current generations of demons had gotten apathetic about the war ending they started to slack on their duties in serving Belzebuth's chosen champion. However, now that Nova has found the city the demons will have to get back into gear and fulfill their assignments. Duskmane sends the party to the inn for now while he goes talk to General Crimzon about Nova's arrival, musing that Crimzon is not only getting really old but has been holding onto some sort of power for so long that the Demon King Ring might not be able to handle it. Or if Nova will be smart enough to use that power wisely. The next chapter, "General Crimzon", features the titular demon.
 
kinda feels weird now that i think about it to write an ending before ive laid the foundation of a whole work, but wrote 2076 words over the course of a couple days for a planned ending. its gonna be shown from the perspectives of both protags, because i plan for the whole thing to be written so that it can be read from either perspective, whichever is chosen.
 
Wrote the next chapter of Dawn of Courage today ("General Crimzon"). A bit stop-and-go but ultimately I got it done.

Anyway, the party reaches the inn inside the Demon Clan city. They are escorted to the most luxurious rooms they've ever seen in an inn, rival a luxury resort. Nova in particular gets quite the room. A short time later Nova and Nina are having a chat about their future. Nina confirms that she's not pregnant yet, to Nova's relief, as he doesn't want her bearing a child during this critical time despite both enjoyed their night of love and passion. They soon regroup with the gang as General Crimzon wants to meet them. After being escorted to his home they meet the old demon. Sir Reginald accidentally insults Crimzon by calling him "elder", which Crimzon doesn't like being reminded of his advanced age, and forces the party to resort to using their women to coax the information out of him. Elizabetta steps up first, feeling confident, only for said confidence to be crushed like a bug under a brick when Crimzon rejects her, saying she's not his "type" and has the wrong body shape, as he prefers top-hourglass/busty women, not bottom-heavy ones like Elizabetta. The Buzzwing girl is devastated and ends up sulking in the corner, forcing Nina to take over. Nina is more to Crimzon's liking and he starts explaining what's involved in the Demon King Ring's upgrade and what the demon city is all about (while also taking another potshot as Elizabetta, who calls him a "dirty old man" in response). He contains the energy needed to upgrade the ring, but because he's been containing the energy for so long the upgrade will go from just 70% to 700%, pushing the ring's limits and significantly strengthening the different settings. This also adds on an extra problem: if the ring's recoil is too strong it runs the risk of hurting, or even outright killing, Nova, depending on the setting. Especially Armageddon Mode, which releases all the energy in the ring in one shot. So Crimzon needs to test Nova to see if he's strong enough and smart enough to wield this new power wisely. The test will take place tomorrow, as Crimzon needs to perform some prep work ahead of time. After getting a kiss from Nina he sends the party back to the inn. The next chapter, "General Crimzon's Last Ride", features the test Crimzon has planned for Nova.
 
Went down to the other park today. After a bit of reading, managed to get a big chunk of chapter 2 of the next Nori fic done. Gave me some direction for the immediate start of chapter 3. Went back home and managed some of the remaining edits on the next chapter of BotBK just now, and some counterparting in MoaG.
 
Some small amount of words written after changing the sentence fragment from Thursday to end the section and have it close enough for the crossover point. Gonna go through Tsuguo's part in Uncoloured and then catch it up.
 
It would be almost today since I wrote it as it was about to hit midnight where I live, but the Flashback mini-story I posted in this forum is actually a small part of a big crossover story draft I've been thinking about for a very long time, but have recently begun to write after much, much time had passed.
 
A few new words to fix some dialogue, and some tweaks in Uncoloured. Some applicable changes made to Electrowood for crossover scenes. Oh right, also realised yesterday that I forgot the possible White Day scene in Aerosteel, but with what I have right now, it'd be more of a pain to edit it in than it'd be worth, so I'll save it for the next in-story year, since I'd be able to just narrate Valentine's Day.
