  • Johnny Cash did that a lot. Personal Jesus was originally a song slamming organized religion.
If you added my quote to what? (And sure you can! As if I remember what I even said lol)
Sorry about that, you should be able to join now. I can't remember why I put it on invite only, but it's changed now ^^
Well, I'm glad you took time out of your day to inform me of something I already knew. But thank you.

I've learned not to think of language in a prescriptive manner. Yes, in correct English "funner" isn't a word. But if masses of people use a certain word (made up or not) and they, as a whole, have come to understand it and utilize it, then it has become a word. (In my opinion.)
Yeah, but the point is that while starters and legendaries have indeed near-forced you to trade with past games, Ruby and Sapphire took it more than a step further by making it so that no short of 180 Pokemon were unavailable with both versions in your possession- something that never happened with Gold, Silver, or Crystal. Hell, without an AR , the only way to even encounter (much less fight) them was to... jump over a year into the future and link to a FRLG cartridge? Or a Colosseum disk? Either way, if you didn't trade it over it wouldn't even be recorded in your Pokedex as an encounter. It's perfectly natural for people to burst a blood vessel over that.
About the Gen 3 exclusions thing on the other thread, he was also referring to second-generation games at the same time, though (as he made the comment about how Ho-Oh is available in Silver and vice versa), so I think the GBC games can still be used as examples in that argument.

And although aruond a fifth of the old-timers did return, again I reiterate that the majority of them were both confined to the Safari zone and underwater, and none of the starters and (most) commonly found ones (Rattata, Caterpie, Weedle, Pidgey, etc.) were all but completely gone. That's more than enough to pose a serious threat to the enjoyability of the game in my eyes. and legendaries too i misses dem
not at all man, i just like to return the favor with a comment :p
And I can respect differing points of view. When I find an intelligent Charizard advocate, I'd love to have a debate with them over the Pokemon's pros and cons and it's status in relation to other Pokemon in his kin. Sadly, most of the Charizard fans I come across amount to "OMG!!!1!!!1 Charizard is liek, teh cooolest thing EVAR!!!!1!11!!!!111", which really pisses me off.
