Considering that Game Freak has established this to be a new universe, we don't even need the "past 10+ years" part. There could have just been Kanto variants of Hoenn/Sinnoh/Unova/Kalos/Alola Pokemon in the games and act like they've always been there. It could be another one of the major...

Evidently non-Alolan forms ARE available so that's one less point to the Kanto theory. I'd say its a possibility, but its as much a possibility as B2W2 were (in that there were a lot of sequel...
It's more evidence for a non-Alolan game/against a third version than Kanto specifically, but the fact that all Alolan Pokemon are Kanto makes it weird to highlight the difference by using Sinnoh/Gen IV remakes. Then there's also story-related plot spoilers.
The issue isn't that there isn't a place to transfer them from (we have them all available through Gen VI games). The issue is that the Pokemon has a flag to see if they are native to the present generation. The fact that all Pokemon will be born into their Alolan forms regardless of the...
Dissenters can also see this as evidence for Sinnoh remakes, but I'd also argue the fact that all Alolan Pokemon are Kanto means the best contrast would be to return to Kanto. Additionally, Masuda has mentioned in a recent interview (can't find the source) that there's no immediate plans for GSC...
I think good evidence for Kanto sequels from a game mechanics perspective? Apparently when you breed non-Alolan Pokemon in Alola, their offspring are always Alolan Pokemon. As little sense as that makes, it means that there's no way to breed non-Alolan versions of staple Pokemon like Ninetales.
RSE had never been remade before. I'm pretty sure the fact that Gen I was already remade would impact people's perceptions of an ORAS-style FrLg remake.
