Anime Anime Dub News

The Yu-Gi-Oh Sevens dub will be arriving soon. An advert for it has popped up in the TV Kids magazine.

NYAV Post's latest dub thanks to FUNimation is an interesting one for the studio because it's an idol anime.

All 12 episodes of Dropout Idol Fruit Tart is released today on FUNi. Voice directed by Laura Stahl, Stephanie Sheh and Cristina Valenzuela the cast includes Kira Buckland, Kayli Mills, Sarah Anne Williams, Laura Stahl, Xanthe Huynh and Christina Kelly.

Utterly saddened to report that Chris Ayres, the voice of Frieza from the Dragon-Ball franchise, passed away on October 18th at the age of 56. He will be remembered for all the wonderful things he's done for the voiceover industry.

Love and laughter always.

While I won't be watching the dub this time, I do highly recommend giving 2.43 a chance. Just don't go in thinking it's like Haikyuu cause it's a volleyball series, it's more dramatic in it's tone. (just don't want possible new fans going in with expectations that it'll be like HQ, already saw that happen on a few anime sites lol)

Premiering tomorrow is the dub for the very sweet looking Ranking of Kings from WIT studio.

Starting yesterday was the dub for Seirei Gensouki: Spirit Chronicles on Crunchyroll. The dub is produced by Iyuno-SDI, voice directed by Michael Schneider and script adapted by Marin Miller and Emily Fajardo.

Probably the biggest surprise is that Brittany Lauda is doing the voice casting for this dub and she's been kind enough to put the full cast for Episode 1 up on the Kocha page, it will be updated every week too. So big thanks to her.

Eugh. Of all the shows FUNi could dub, they chose Scar of the Praeter? Another bad GoHands show with bad animation and outfits that are clearly plagiarized from real life models (Which is what did them in)? Seriously, all the actors on this dub deserve better than to be involved with that crappy show.
