Hello, I often visit this site for help in my games as well as trades.

When I skim the threads in Wanted (or Offering) Sections, I sometimes see this kind of situation.

Let's say that a rather new member "A" set up a thread for a trade. Another person, "B", replies that he can trade with A. So A replies in the thread that he waits for B's confirm.

But it seems that B (for whatever the reason) does not check back the thread. Maybe forgot?

An ideal solution would be sending B a Visitor's Message or a Private Message. But A does not have enough posts to use these functions. So all he has is rely on replying on the thread, but if B doesn't take a look, it won't work.

Maybe what I am suggesting is intruding or even rude. But I think it wouldn't be so bad to have some people tell the above B something light and simple like "Check back --- Thread please" with a VM. I don't think there are any automatic ways so it will be more of a voluntary work. Of course, if B doesn't want to trade, then he will either ignore or post back in the thread with the decision. That's something others can't control.

I just thought of this idea. I mean, unless it is confirmed 'right to do', then however noble it is, it would be considered rude. I wanted to see if this idea makes sense...

Thanks for reading.

Well, they could subscribe to the thread, which is what I usually do with threads I post). It's at the very top of every thread under the Thread Tools dropdown menu. You can choose to get an e-mail notification for every new post, daily updates, or weekly updates. Subscriptions will also appear in UserCP in between the Bulbagarden Forums Referrals box and the Latest Infractions Received box (or the Link Another User's Account box if you don't have an infraction).

Please note: The thread is from 14 years ago.
Please take the age of this thread into consideration in writing your reply. Depending on what exactly you wanted to say, you may want to consider if it would be better to post a new thread instead.
