Bad new rules

personally, im not sure about section header rule. on user talk pages, they can do what they want, but on mainspace talk pages, we should probably keep them consistent unless there is a reason.

as for archiving, the obligatory "we are not Wikipedia" fits in here quite nicely, especially given that archiving sections of your talk page just because theyre inactive is fairly retarded in the first place. archiving your talk page every week is just unnecessary. yea, it probably keeps it clean, but what other redeeming factor do you get other than a claen page? theres definitely better redeeming factors to keeping the info on your page. a page full of questions and proper answers? a new person can see this guy knows whats what. a page full or warnings and arguments? clearly not someone you want to ask a legitimate question too. well, quality talk page content showed me who was best to talk to when i was new.

Why do you need to only remove one section? So it looks more busy? so you see more important? If you have 100 sections of it, and only 20 are still used, then I say still use it. But two sections and hiding the one without many comments? WASTE OF TIME

so your only reason for doing this is becuase some people do it on wikipedia? it is said all around pedia- we're not wikipedia

well, an official policy ruins your personal preferance. that's more than a saying.

So give a reason behind this personal preference. You have to prefer it for a reason other than wikipedia does it, because WE ARE NOT NOR WERE WE EVER A SUBDIVISION OF WIKIEPEDIa

Oy.

Policy trumps your personal preference? Good luck arguing to the cops that it's your personal preference to go 85 miles per hour in a 30 zone. See how far it gets ya.
