Best Fire type starter

I voted the Torchic line (Hoenn) not for any competitive battling reason or other such reasons, but for the fact that it's ironic (and tasty) to have a fiery chicken. Yum.

And I completely agree with you that it's a ripoff of Blaziken.

There's a problem however, Infernape outclasses Blaziken by a thousandfold.

This being the reason why people think of Infernape as an improvement instead of the rip-off it really is.

My favorite is Cyndaquil's line. I feel as though it has the best design and it is just a fun Pokemon to play around with. (It's also going to be my starter in HGSS.)

torchic is just too cute, though chimchar is a close second, its a monkey!!!
I HATE cyndaquil though, he looks dumb, in fact, all of the johto starters look dumb, imo.

Cyndaquil was the best starter. All the others just look gay. Their evolutions aren't bad though.

Cyndaquil, relatively speaking.

I never much liked Charmander or Chimchar and I harbor an especial hatred towards Torchic (largely because that was my little brother's starter and he cleaned the floor with my Venusaur every time...at least, until he lost his Sapphire game).

I love Torchic, it was my first starter plus, it looked better than the rest of the Hoenn starters. Also Blaziken is awsome!

I personally prefer Ninetales, but I do remember Arcanine and I like him a thousand times better than the Fire starters (with the exception of Torchic, the only one I like)
