Trans-Pacific Partnership. No, it's Twitch Plays Pokémon. Our history with the flareon kind started in the very first run with the famous "False Prophet" (later seen in a different light and called "Martyr"). Later on we had Sola(i)reon in Platinum, Sam in Anniversary Red, R-Ceus aka Lampeon in Randomized Alpha Sapphire and Flareo in Randomized White 2. Why "Lampeon"? Well, since randomization is a fun thing, we had a Torchic that knew Judgment, evolved into a Lampent and then evolved into a Flareon. Flareo, on the other hand, was an Italian opera singer. (At least to me.)

But this is pretty off-topic, so I'll stop here. Let it be known, though, that Flareon are without the most prominent of the eeveelutions in TPP. Umbreon is actually likely the least prominent, with even Leafeon topping it.
