My first shiny: a Munchlax!

I've been breeding Munchlaxes for a long time now (they fetch good trades on GTS), and just moments ago I was breeding two new ones and watching the Portal video on VGCats (again), so my attention was kind of divided. The first egg hatched, whoop-dee-doo, but then came number two, whose coat I noticed was a bit lighter. I checked the summary, and I'll be darned if I didn't see the joyous red star of shininess! I about burst out laughing! He came complete with a Sassy nature and the Thick Fat ability, so I think I finally have a Munchlax I plan to keep. =D

Haha, that reminds me of my first Ralts egg being a shiny. ...scary part is, that your Munchlax was Sassy and the Ralts was too o3o

Hah, I wish I had your luck. My first shiny was Clefa from the odd egg on Crystal.
I don't even HAVE a Munchlax.

Yes, it would. Otherwise there'd be almost no way to get shiny alternate forms.

Oh I see. I've only had one alternate ever (in Gold) and I didn't evolve it so I wouldn't know.

My firsth shiny was probably a electrode in the aqua hq
it was right by a master bal and i wasnt able to get it before the
electrode because it blocked it, i was afraid of it suiciding

but it lasted like 7 turns until it was caught
that was prolly my first shiny and a agravating find in one.

Wow, congrats! I'm a little envious, I'll admit. Yours will be able to evolve; I'm the proud owner of a shiny male Combee. Cool, but utterly useless. :lol:

Honestly, we don't need a new thread every time someone gets a new shiny. There are two threads regarding shiny Pokemon on this forum, and an entire discussion in the Videogame section.

Anyway, congratulations, but I find it such a drag to get a shiny Pokemon who is almost the same colour as the original.

That's pretty cool that you got a shiny as rare as Munchlax... It's just too bad that Munchlax's shiny form is only a shade or so lighter then normal.

I like my shinies to be a dramatically different colour, that's why I will never evolve my Shiny Torchic (it's also Master rank in both Beauty and Cute contests)

Yeah, there are a lot of shinies I wanted a lot more, but I guess beggars can't be choosers. And as far as rarity goes, I think I scored.

Lucky. You got a shiny Munchlax on the second egg! I've been trying for weeks to get a shiny Tropius hatched but nothing.
