PokeCalculator is the new calculator game I made that simulates a Pokemon battle. Try it if you can, and please comment or give suggestions on the game.
Materials:
-A simple handheld calculator (No scientific calculator)
-Paper
-Pencil, Pens, Crayon, etc.
PokeCalculator has to modes, singleplayer and multiplayer. Singleplayer, being by yourself. Multiplayer requires only two people.
Instructions:
Singleplayer-
1. Choose a Pokemon, either Bulbasaur, Charmander or Squirtle. All have 5 health. And your only enemy is a Rattata.
Bulbasaur`s moves:
1.Tackle- Does one damage
2.Growl-The other Pokemon can`t attack next turn
Charmander`s moves:
1.Scratch-Does one damage
2.Growl-The other Pokemon can`t attack next turn
Squirtle`s moves:
1.Tackle-Does one damage
2.Tail Whip- Your next attack does 2x damage (Lasts only for your next turn)
Rattata`s moves:
1.Tackle-Does one damge
2.Tail Whip- Your next attack does 2x damage (Lasts only for your next turn)
2.You get the first turn. You have two options, FIGHT or RUN. RUN ends the battle with the enemy winning automatically. If you choose FIGHT, then you can use when of your moves. Type in a random 8 digit number. However, the first number should represent the move you chose. Ex: If I want to use Tackle, I type in 15427891. Then you click on the square root button, it looks like a check mark, and check the last digit. If it is an even number, your attack missed. If it is an odd number, you scored a hit. You win by knocking out all of the Rattata`s health by successfully hit it 5 times.
3.When it`s Rattata`s turn, you type in a random number with your eyes closed. Look at the last digit. If it is even, then Rattata chose Tail Whip. If it is odd, then Rattata chose Tackle. Again, type in a random 8 digit number with the first digit representing the attack. Blah, blah, blah, if the last digit is even, miss, if odd, direct hit. You lose if Rattata knocked out all of your health.
4.You take turns back and forth until you or the Rattata run out of health.
Multiplayer-
Multiplayer is very similar to singleplayer, except you have another human being with you. You choose one of the Kanto starters: Bulbasaur, Charmander, or Squirtle. Same moves, same health. But no Rattata. The other person also has to chose one of the Kanto starters, but not the same one you have. You can decide who goes first because of your Pokemon`s type. If it`s super effective on your partner`s, you get the first turn. No type 2x effectiveness, because all the attacks are Normal-types. Follow the same steps in singleplayer, but leave out Step 3, just repeat Step 2 with the other person this time. Keep taking turns until one of you run out of health or forfeits by choosing RUN.
*Note: You only need one calculator in multiplayer. share the same calculator.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Very simple, but yet somewhat complex. If you any comments or suggestions on how to improve the game, then please post it below so I can look at it and maybe add it to a update on the game. Try the game if you can, so you can expierence it firsthand. :ksmile:
