The Pirate Guild
Pokemon-only * Rated T *
"Ahoy me hearties, tis be yer captain scribblin' these words... me, scourge of the seas, Sandor Morrigan. Let tis' be me last secret 'fore I leave th' cruel world, 'n a warning to ye all high 'bove the dark seafloor... me greatest treasure is cursed. Tis saucy jewel wit' th' many colors, I speak of. Grand't me riches 'n fame, oh, it did, but at a cost. Bugger ol' Morrigan if he trusts 'nother of those magic trinkets! Now ol' me lays here, on me throne of gold and th' skulls of me brave crew, waitin' fer me death. Wenches, I drink damnation! Not that death be th'end. Be warned, then, ye scallywags 'n filthy landlubbers - seek me treasure, 'n me'll rise from the dead to gut ye, bow to stern..."
* Two months after the mysterious disappearance of the former Pirate King, Sandor Morrigan, this letter arrived to the Guild's HQ, bearing his seal. The handwriting was recognized and confirmed to be his by his fellow pirate lords - there was no mistake, these were his last words. Knowing they would come after his legendary treasure, Sandor threatened and warned. The trinket was said to have helped Sandor accomplish so much - earn an untold fortune, become the Pirate King, establish a massive and fearsome fleet of a hundred ships and a reputation for being the deadliest, the most ruthless and cunning of pirates - is now free for the taking for whoever finds it first. ThWord is now that whoever can find his treasure will gain the status of the Pirate King. You belong to one of the pirate crews of the Guild ignored the letter and set out on a collective treasure hunt for Sandor's legendary trinket.
About the Roleplay
* Welcome to the Pirate Guild, a community that abides to no laws, where Pokemon do what they will, not what they are told... a powerful alliance of pirates and freebooters alone. Its HQ built on Ratchet Island, it is widely considered an uprising pirate utopia. You and your crew roam the seas, loot ships or hunt for treasure - or simply strive to become the very best. Your only oath is to your crew. It's your loyal companions whom you'll depend on, out there, in the cruel seas! Whether it's massive waves, sea monsters or Royal Naval ships you face, you'll do it together. Good luck, me hearties!
Carajol Sea
The world is mostly composed of this vast sea, with a singular, enormous continent, namely Nautactus. That is where the Royal Naval Army, the main ruling body of Pokemon has built its headquarters. There are many lesser forms of land, the islands, where the bigger part of the population in Carajol lives. The residents of the islands either join the Royal Navy, or the Pirate Guild; either way, most of them live aboard the deck of ships that sail the seas!
Ratchet
is the largest and most notable pirate town, the center of the pirate republic, where the Pirate Guild's headquarters are. It is a lawless haven that operates under a revolutionary form of government that is ran by the republic's de facto leaders, the three Pirate Lords, Angstrom Bladehead, Benjamin Daffuile & Tylor Grubas. After Sandor's disappearance, the Guild is left headless to this day, as every Pirate Lord votes for himself when the elections arrive. A few years ago, the town was brought to its knees from the crippling famine and sickness that tortured its residents. Benjamin Daffuile became a pirate Lord by plundering supplies and medicine and gifting them all to the Guild, thus restoring the residents of Ratchet to strength.
Ratchet's streets sprawl in every direction and the architecture shows no consistency or common vision. It is a city of trade and entertainment, where anything that anyone would ever want to buy — and plenty of things that no one ever wants to buy — is on sale. Frankly, it offers the best ways to spend the booty you've plundered; there are casinos, taverns, playhouses, pleasure resorts, fine restaurants, tearooms, gladiatorial arenas... from the poor crewman to a wealthy & successful pirate, anyone can sate their tastes in Ratchet. As it happens to be the largest port in the north, ships commonly stop there on their way elsewhere. All kinds of Pokemon and types and members of all social or economic statuses are welcome there, which makes the town a hotspot for fights which can result very badly. The city never stops. Its lights are on, its shops open and its services available at any time of day or night. Ratchet also serves as a base of operations for many pirate fleets; although the most highly esteemed pirate captains choose other, remote locations as their base.

Nautactus
is the jewel of the Carajol Sea that shines as the paragon of true virtue. The oldest and grandest city, it is the capital of the Kingdom of Nautactus that is ruled by Queen Elise. It maintains its reputation as an undefeated city; no enemy has been able to penetrate its thick, tall walls and conquer the beyond. Most of the city's coffers are filled by the taxes they impose on the residents of the Kingdom; including the islands of the north, Ratchet and the unwilling members of the Pirate Guild.
The Royal Naval Army's HQ is built on the center of the city, at the base of the mountain where the Queen's Palace is. The duty of the marines is to maintain order and law throughout the Kingdom and impose the might and will of Queen Elise. They are expected to carry out her every order immediately and without question. Their main purpose is bringing justice down upon any criminal. As such, anyone who claims to be a pirate is an enemy and must pay according to their crimes. However, the reach of the marines ends in Ratchet; the residents of the island and members of the Pirate Guild or their town cannot be harmed by any justice, seeing as their wrongdoing is done elsewhere. The asylum provided to Ratchet was sealed with the Gull Agreement, many years before the present timeline.

Forbidden Fruits
these are fruits known to possess undefined power. there are many individuals who ate these fruits, thereby gaining their power. However, these fruits, despite how powerful they are, only exist one at a time per specieS. For example, only one Flamethrower fruit exists in the world. No other Flamethrower fruits exist anywhere else. This includes already ingested fruits. Let’s take Pirate X has Y fruit. No Y fruit exists anymore, nor does another Z pirate possess Y fruit. Also unlike normal moves, fruit-induced moves are significantly stronger. An individual cannot ingest more than one fruit, as the fruits are theorized to be parasitic in nature and as such, dangerous when combined.
A Pokemon which has digested a Forbidden Fruit may gain the Fruit's power as an active move which they can use at all times. The Fruits make the move available to Pokemon which could not normally learn this move; for example, a Marowak may eat the Thunderbolt Fruit, and it will be able to use Thunderbolt despite not being able to learn this move canonically.
Hazzard: whoever eats a Fruit loses the ability to swim. That means, if your character possesses the powers of a fruit, they are no longer able to swim in the waters of the ocean, even if they are water-type Pokemon!
