Is it just me or has all of the voice actors improved DRASTICALLY since the start of Black and White?

I know the best examples are TR. Their voices are absolutely 99% better than they were at the start of the series, and leaps and bounds better than DP. I guess it helps that they're being serious and they don't have much to say.

But seriously, good job to the voice actors.

They just don't give TR that rhyming dialogue that ruined them in DP. The actual voices are the same quality more or less.

That's probably it. The rhyming was so annoying and it hampered on their abilities (I thought).

I'd say the VAs improved drastically since mid-late Battle Frontier.

But as for TR, I'd say it may just be more that they're acting more serious now, which makes them sound somewhat different.

I rewatched Mastermind of Mirage Pokemon around four months ago, the version on the Lucario DVD. All I can say is that seeing how terrible they were back then has helped me appreciate how they sound now A LOT more, they really have improved.

Can't really say much on specific BW improvements since I haven't watched much of it. :p

Well with Ash, there was a definite improvement during Diamond & Pearl, but I can't say I've noticed much difference in the quality of acting in BW per-se. Not that it's a problem, though. I've been fine with Ash's voice for a long time now.

Team Rocket on the other hand, have definitely improved with the shift in their characters. Jimmy Zoppi's gone from bad to tolerable, in part I'm sure because of the move to less ridiculous dialouge, but I'd have to say the real kudos go to Michele Knotz, who I think has been superb as Jessie over the last few weeks.

People probably just think their acting is better because their scripts are getting better since they're toned more serious. That's my problem with the dub in general. I couldn't care less about the changed voices, but TPCi is just terrible at making scripts that don't sound like they were written by 2nd graders.

I thought TR were better in Battle Frontier because they still dubbed them almost the same way 4kids did. Jessie also sounded a lot similar to the old Jessie in BF.

Best part is they rarely talked in rhymes in the Battle Frontier dub either

I just want to give a friendly reminder to you all to remain civil. If the discussion here starts turning toward flames and insults, we *will* close it.

I really enjoy Ash's voice, it really has come a long way.

Why do people assume the original has this real well-written dialogue? They say pretty much the exact same things that the original does.

Maybe they should be more like 4Kids and spice the dialogue up.

Yeah, the original had really dull dialogue when you can understand what they're saying. Obvious, script writing is NOT one of the Anime's high points.

I've noticed that some of the original cast is coming back. Roger Parsons, A.K.A. Ken Gates is the narrator again, and Ted Lewis is back as Me. If only Eric Stuart was able to show up on the show again. Maybe I can do something for those who miss him and Rachael Lillis. I am currently writing the pokemon finalli and plan on having PUSA realize that the best thing to do is to bring back as much of the original cast as possible. The PUSA actors are all right, but the 4kids are the best. I, Giovanni say that Ted Lewis, Rachael Lillis, Eric Stuart and all the original voice actors are the best! best! best! Don't forget about Veronica Taylor, I'm sure that it isn't easy for a woman to do a boy's voice like that, I think that is absolutely wonderful that they can do that. Giovanni out.

Rachael Lilis isn't goin to reprise Jessie, and that other character she voiced was done away with 10 years ago.

Sarah Natochenny is a woman and she plays a boy's voice.
I like the new voice actors. Well I liked them in DP and Battle Frontier, not as much in BW.

What about Lisa Ortez, Megan Hollingshead, Matthew Sussman, Mike Polock, and Eric Stuart? There's also Marc Thompson and Dave Brimmer, who sounds like Elliott Gould.

Sarah is good too, I'm thinking of more. Do you think they would have people like Cree Summers and Tara Strong? I am already suggesting Tegan Quin as the voice of one of my agents, and Sandie Rosa as Ann Munson.

The finalli will have several new characters, Tegan voiced by Tegan Quin, who is one of my agents, Annie (Sandie Rosah), my long lost daughter, Kerri (Tegan Quin), and Sherri (Lisa Ortez or Catherine O 'Har). Do you think those people would be likely to be in the finalli? I want to make it much like the original series, with good quality voice acting, and a good plot line.

The voices have always sounded fine, IMO, but that's just me.

Hey!

Team rocket at least is trying to do as I ask them, they aren't fooling around as much. I fail to realize why they haven't brought me Pikachu yet? I admit though, in the original series it was funny to watch them. R.I.P. Mattie Blousteen. I will always miss you as Meowth and the other characters. She gave me a good laugh.
