It's a proven mechanic of the Maison and the Tree. One instance I know of that is if you have a sturdy Shedinja (obviously hacked) you'll encounter more status users than Pokemon with attacking moves. There was also instances with my Palosand facing multiple flying type Pokemon with a move set of Earth power, Giga Drain, Stockpile, and shore up at the start of the match. They shouldn't know my move set and know that most flying types resist (1 immune) both of my attacking moves

Unless you provide the source on this information I'm gonna have a hard time believing what you say... It seems plausible, don't get me wrong, and I can understand that being the case even if it is a bit BS, but in all honesty that's part of the reason why coverage is important in the first place.
