Review S07 EP32: The Bicker the Better

I very funny ep, and very Kanto-esque. I liked the secne when May and Ash are fighting and Brock is in the background making his lovesick face. And pikachu looks funny too with him.

This episode was really good. The originality of it was refreshing. And the fight between Jessie and James was hilarious. Its always so funny when James snaps. And the Brock and Wobba scene was one of my favorite parts. This is deffinatly one of the better episodes this season.

You've never heard of Rose of Versailles?

I had, but the title of the series is the extent of my knowledge on the subject. I don't know anything about the plot or characters or anything like that, so I didn't get the reference.

The only series by the creator of Rose of Versailles that I've actually seen is Oniisama E, and I enjoyed that one quite a bit.

It's about a swordswoman named Oscar during the French Revolution. I only saw the first episode, but apparently she becomes the personal guard to a princess or something.

Here's my review of this episode:

This was a really good episode! And I thought the beginning of it was hilarious, when May was looking in the mirror and asked Ash if he ever did that. Then he said no, and his face got all red. That was so funny! LOL. XD And I really loved how Ash and May kept fighting throughout this episode, cause it was really funny. And I loved the part when that couple challenged Ash and May to that love tag battle. I thought it was kinda funny, cause Ash and May couldn't work together with their Pokemon in order to beat them. And after they lost, I liked all those insults they kept giving each other. It was hilarious! And I also liked how that couple thought that Jessie and James were a couple, and they wanted to have a battle with them. And it was so funny how Jessie and James couldn't work together in their battle either! Then when Ash and May found out that Jessie and James were fighting too, that was really funny. And I also liked how Jessie got May to be on her team, and I liked how James got Ash to do that too. That was funny! And I actually thought that Ash and James were gonna win the battle for a minute there, but then all the Pokemon started fighting. And that was so funny! And I loved how Wobbuffet kept copying Brock, and did everything that he did! That was hilarious! And it was one of my favorite parts too! LOL. XD Oh, and it was also funny how Meowth did that dance thing, to tell Jessie and James that was their chance to steal Pikachu. And I loved how May helped Ash out in the battle with Team Rocket, and then Ash helped her out. That was cool! And I really loved the part at the end, when Pikachu ran over to Ash, and he was so happy to get Pikachu back. I also liked the part when Ash told May that he was just being a big show off, and May said that she was doing the same thing. And even though I knew they'd make up eventually, I loved how they were friends again after that! Anyway, overall, this was a great episode, and it was really funny too! ^_^

It was a good ep. However, I really don't see how this proves anything to do with AdvanceShipping, especially since Ash and May's actions towards each other in this ep aren't very consistent with their actions in other eps.

I totally agree with you. I don't know why folks considered Ash and May's arguement a shipping hint. It was more a sad annoying hint for a hint. I loved the part where they actually got along.

Giovanni had Golem, Kingler, Rhydon, Machamp, and something I forget offhand. It was J&J's last Pokemon.

Cloyster. For a Ground specialist, he really doesn't specialize much outside of the games. And even then . . .

Did I hear wrong, or did Jessie tell Dustox to use Pin Missile on Cacnea?

This episode rocked!!!! It was one of the most hilarious episodes in all of AG. The insults traded between all the characters were awesome. There were so many great lines in this that I could never remember them all. Brock, Max, and Meowth's reactions to the fighting were great too. And I was glad to see both Jessie and James doing fairly well in their tag battle with the twerps, even if Jessie did call out too many pokemon. Usally Team Rocket's pokemon get beat too easily. anyway, this episode gets a perfect 5 out of 5 stars. I havn;t laughed this much during a pokemon episode in a long time.

Was it just me or did Ash sound REALLY off at the beginning of this episode?? Maybe Veronica had a sore throat or something.

Oscar and Andy were two of the coolest characters of the day EVER!!! They were awesome. And I think the person who played Oscar was the same person who plays Joey on Yugioh. The first time I saw this episode I thought of Revolutionary Girl Utena.

Ash and May's reactions to being told they were in love was quite different too. They calmly denied it, without even the slightest blush, while Ash and Misty tended to blow up at whoever even suggested it and/or blush.

I am going to have to disagree about this. I don't think most of Ash and May's actions in this episode could be called calm. At one point they yelled out their denial (at the same time no less) to Oscar and Andy, and the fact that those two kept going on and on about how fighting means love made it seem like the writers might be trying to beat it into our heads. there was also that line that Brock said to Max; something about how "Men and Women have been fighting like this since the beginning of time". It seemed pretty shippy to me. But I don't think that admitting this is a hint means we all have to suddenly convert to Advanced shipping. They may fight in this episode, but it's really the first time they've ever done it. Ash and Misty consistantly argued and fought to varing degress up until Misty left. Anyway, if you want to see what a non-hint denial looks like I think you should watch the second and third Misty Hoso episodes. In both of those episodes Misty is acused of dating Tracey and both times Misty simply says "no". No blushing, no yelling, no crossing of arms or getting annoyed, no carrying on, just a simple denial.
