Why are people complaining about Ash being stupid here? That's kind of his personality.

"I'd like Ash if he wasn't so stupid" is basically the same thing as saying "I'd like Ash if he wasn't so Ash."

I think it's because after 14 full seasons, a lot of us expect Ash to grow up and get smart. What may have been semi-tolerable in Season 1 just doesn't fly anymore.

As a side note, did anyone watching this ep draw any comparisons to the Real-Life Superhero thing going on? Yup, they exist. There's even an episode of NCIS involving them.

I've always thought of Ash like Goku from Dragon Ball Z in that he'll always have that dumb side to him no matter how old he gets.

It's not true what they say about the camera adding 10 pounds, Charles has never looked better! XD

I'm not totally happy with Clay's anime portrayal, He just seems more of a jerk than I remember from the game. But never mind, this was a pretty entertaining episode. I loved seeing Accelgor's tremendous speed in action. Team Vanillite's plot was hilarious, but even though it was utterly ridiculous, I still didn't like Iris calling them kids either. They were certainly funnier than she'll ever be.
