Shinies...Worthless?

I have to admit, the values of Shiny Pokemon has dropped a fair amount in gen V games, with all these methods of getting them like chaining or the Masuda method and stuff...

I disagree. I think shinys are still exciting. Though I can't RNG abuse. I am really good at chaining though, and still get really excited for all the shinys I catch! I don't really have people to share them with though, I think it'd be more exciting if my friends played too and I could give them shinys.

I think that they have only lost their values to the scum that cheat and hack their way through games the honest way. People like shinyhunters (like me) love the thrill because they dont hack their way to them, also if they are random they are exciting. I think that it is in the eye of each indivisual if they are awesome or not.

Shines have higher stats than normals ones until level 100. As a result, as most of my Pokemon are lv 100 prefurably b4 the elite 4, shines are worthless to me except that they show I've played this game a lot.

If shinies are really stronger than the average Pokemon, then the shiny Pokemon will be used very often in competitive battling, especially on online simulators.

Disagree with the adjective used. Shiny Pokemon will always have some kind of sentimental value to me. Because we all search for or find them by surprise and have our little stories, isn't it?
It does not only happen with random encounters, I also value my chained shinies because it took time to find some of them that I really wanted. And that's why I hate when they cheat or RNG for shinies. You have to work hard to find one legitimately. Or wait for luck to strike.

I still value my shinies, even my event Milotic, Eevee (now Espeon) and Pichu. Finding one in the wild is a proud moment. I've caught two in the wild, a Weepinbell and a Fearow. They are some of my most valuable Pokemon.

To me, the only value to be had with Shinies is if you like thier alternate colour scheme. The number of Shiny colour schemes I've seen so far that I like (Shinx and Ralts line are the first two) are far outnumbered by ones that look bad or a slightly different shade.

Worthless?
To Traders: most likely, a dime a dozen.
To Hackers: is that even a question?
To me: nope, sure i have about 15 shinies, but i've only ever found 2 on my own, and i cherish them not only because they're differently colored, but because they tell a lil story that i can keep with them ^w^

I cherish Shinies I find in the wild only.
