Simple Questions/Simple Answers (Legends Arceus)

Just wondering: What is the most common research task that a Pokemon can have?
Also, could someone explain how the EV Levels work? I think I understand, but not sure...
Besides catching and defeating the Pokemon, I would say the most common task I see if catching the Pokemon without being seen.

So this might be a bit odd; I've been able to get large amounts of Grit Gravel by releasing the swarms of Bidoof and Buizel in the pasture...but I need the lower item (Grit Dust) to make use of the Gravel.
Any idea how many I should try releasing at once to get Dust instead?

Which pokemon are available?

I know the trainer now has a health bar, er circle, and combat has been slightly changed to real time (i.e. you can dodge attacks). What other changes have been made from the standard Pokemon games?
1. That's not a simple question, you'd have to Google that or something. Sites like Bulbapedia or Serebii or whatever should have the list. Some videos on the game leaks can tell you too.

2. No breeding, no held items, no abilities (I think), you have to manually evolve Pokemon, even if they evolve by methods like leveling up. They will never evolve automatically. You can make your own Pokeballs and potions and stuff, you don't always have to buy them. That's all I can think of off the top of my head. Honestly it's unfortunate how much has been removed/changed in regards to battling.

Can someone tell me how and where to catch Misdreavus? I need one to unlock more hair options. I thought I'd seen a couple, but I guess I was wrong, because it didn't come up as seen in my Pokedex.

You find them at Coronet Highlands (Stonetooth Rows, Sacred Plaza, and Celestica Ruins) and Alabaster Icelands (Bonechill Wastes).

Then I did actually see them, because I was in the Celestica Ruins when this happened. But for some reason I didn't get them in the Pokedex as seen... That's weird, maybe it was a glitch. Because I was sure I targeted one and was about to throw a ball and it suddenly vanished.

Does anyone know why sometimes when I switch out a Pokémon I still get a turn, and sometimes I don’t? It’s not one of those cases where the Action Order thing or whatever shows that I outspeed so much that I get another turn, sometimes it still shows me as getting one turn, I switch into another Pokémon, and then that Pokémon gets to attack.

Is there an early game Pokémon with False Swipe I could use?

Well, both Rowlet and Oshawott learn it, so if you have either one they can use it. Others include Kricketune, Paras, and Scyther, all who you can get before the Kleavor battle (and in Kricketune's case, you can catch the plot-specific Alpha to have it without needing to evolve a Kricketot). Hope that helps.

I believe you can also have Zizu teach the move as well.

That's how you get False Swipe in the first place. None of the Mons I mentioned learn it naturally, only through Tutor. But since you get access to Zizu as soon as you get your first rank the need to worry about it is rendered moot.

Ah... So I just had to wait a little bit more, considering how I stopped once I got the first star.

Well, I need to explain it a bit more in-depth. After you get your first star you get a request from Rei/Akari to battle them for the first time. After the battle Zizu appears and explains she teaches moves for a fee (Poke Dollars), but you keep those moves permanently and can swap them out freely at any time. False Swipe tends to be 200 or 500 Poke Dollars, depending on the Mon in question (if I'm remembering it right) but once you have it you can simply add it or remove it at any time. No need for Move Relearners, as you can swap any of your Mon's moves whenever you want, which is a very nice QoL change added to this game. Hope that helps.

Aww man, I didn't know you could catch that! Whelp I now know for any replays - thanks!

I didn't know that either at first. I just thought that, as a story "boss" it was supposed to be uncatchable. I learned that it was possible by watching a Let's Play a few days later. Cue D'OH! >_<

Okay, so the request about having to catch a "red will-o-the-wisp" in that one area of the Obsidian Fieldlands, I can't figure out at all how to clear it. I go to the correct area at night like it says but I can't find anything that seems to be this "red will-o-the-wisp." What is it supposed to be?
