Darn, he doesn't want to rename pokemon that have been traded. Is there any way around this?

I don't think so, I remember reading ingame that (or something like it) "A pokemons name is shown affection of its trainer and can't be changed" still it sucks.

I have one thing thats bugged me for ages. Is there any point to the white rock in R/S/E outside the space center?
 
Shinx and Machop for Attack and Starly for Speed works well from what I saw today, but that's just me.
 
If Machop give attack EVs and Starly give speed, maybe you could instead fight Machoke and Staravia to EV train quicker?
 
Try Gyarados and Seaking in any body of water. You need a Super Rod to fish them out, so it's only available after the E4 and Sinnoh Dex completion.
 
if you have say a shelder and you evolve it into a cloyster as soon at lvl 1. at higher levels can you get the moves shelder WOULD have learned had you not evolved it via the move tutor?
 
I know the held item lucky punch is to raise chanseys critical hit ratio, but does it work for a blissy if its holding one?
 
i think so. my blissey had lucky punch and i think it was working. only get another opinion because may have just been lucky (no pun intended)
 
How the hell do you use the egg moves to get shelder rapid spin?! i just spent 2 days breeding a blastoise with a kabuto giving a male kabuto rapid spin. then i bred female shelder with said male kabuto. the move wasnt on the list of 4 moves and the pokemon had a lot of moves that it shouldnt have (mud shot and rain dance) so i went to the move tutor and it couldnt teach anything so whats the deal...?
