I think they deserve their memetic reputation. Being a ratite bird and a round, chubby one makes for an endearing li'l birb blob.

Looks ferocious, but also odd. It looks like a regular house cat mixed with a leopard or cheetah. But the result ended up muddied.

The females are delightfully gonky, and usually I don't really talk about animal courtship, but thanks to a certain guy's song, I strangely resonate with the anglerfish and her attitude on her life of darkness.
