The only problem I can see with this is if the host neglects to post the phase changes on the proper time, because people might change their votes.

You can set polls to close after a certain time, so even this isn't a problem.

I don't think that can be changed after it is set, so if a phase is extended, AFAIK you can't extend the poll.

I will take your word for it. As I said before, I'm not going to use the system myself. Old system works just fine for me, and... with the exception of True Blue Mafia... I've never had a problem with it.

No, I tested it out on the poll for the Weird Al game, it worked fine, and the votes were still there after the test.

I think abovementioned might be a great way to discredit apoc.

Definition: you can out yourself as n1 watcher by asking apoc something along the lines of "you're claiming to have been roleblocked butnkbody visited you this night. Explain". Coukd be a way to mark you as towny.

Pretty sure you shouldn't count a cancelled game as the "first." Also it wasn't until a few years later that TWR actually came into being. The first few games were just hosted the F&G. once again prove my age and like of history
