Even worse imo is when they do actively try to help, but they're just so underpowered that they're just putting themselves into danger by choosing to go fight. Escort missions in PMD spring to mind.Escort missions where the character you are escorting does not try to help in any way at all.
This is especially my problem when somebody talks about Splatoon canon related to the player characters themselves. When people say something is non canon or not a good game just because they don’t like it.
like it’s the compamy’s game, it’s their canon.
You would hate Yang's bonus dungeon in Final Fantasy IV: The After Years, and I wouldn't blame you for that.I've been playing Final Fantasy X, and, like, I don't super mind a high encounter-rate, especially since games that do so are usually balanced around the EXP you gain from that many encounters, but one specific area has just been a massive hallway with not much interesting happening and encounters every 30 seconds and it's kinda obnoxious. Like, it's not even an interestingly shaped hallway like Mushroom Rock Road. It's just a straight fucking line 90% of the time.

Its easier than the tournament scenarios in 4, particularly Foot bomb and kendo training, along with Metal Man's boulder breaking challenge.
Autosave systems should honestly be mandatory in games. Give me the option to turn it off if you really want, but have it on by default. My power went out halfway through a boss in Final Fantasy 7 Remake the other night, but because of autosaves when I booted the PS4 up the next day I restarted five steps away from the boss. They're a safety net that save you from so much frustration.Since this topic is back up, something frustrated me a lot yesterday, to the point of making me almost have a rage attack (lol). I was battling one of the bosses of Persona 4 (Kubo Mitsuo, to be more specific), and the last time I saved was in the 7th floor of his dungeon I believe.
I always use a PS4 controller so I can stream it to my TV, and during the fight the connecting cable got loose, making the whole game crash, meaning I lost about 2 hours of progression. In a fit of rage I uninstalled the game and now I'm intend not to play it for a while.
I believe I mentioned it already, but I'll second it: what makes me angry the most in a game is when you're able to save only in certain moments\places.
