Untold Pokémon Facts

I'm sure of this, too. Otherwise what Brock did to them would be disturbingly similar to what his father did to HIM.

Well, we know he had to go back and pack, at least. I always assumed Misty and Ash spent a few days with the family while Brock and Flint handled the "transition of power."

I also figured that Flint was volunteering for the whole package - run the gym, raise the kids, etc - all of which were originally HIS responsibilities, anyway.

I always wondered how Flint did at least on the first few days after Brock left. From what Brock told him, the kids really are a handful.XD

In PMD, how are Porygon and Castform there, if no humans were there?

you know I just noticed a bit of a plot hole
Brock is around 15 when he is first introduce, correct?
his father (Flint) supposedly left when he was little
Brock is then revealed to have a dozen siblings, around the age of five
maybe I'm looking to deep into this, but they can't ALL be Flint's kids, can they?

I am guessing they don't die like other pokemon as they are computerised and therefore remain forever

Where does Deyoxs come from. Like as a planet. Is it the same one as Lunatone 'n' Sulrock?

Deoxys appeared from a meteor that has mutated DNA on it the mutated DNA became Deoxys, where the DNA came from I don't know.

Ah but didn't Misty's sisters take her place while she was gone? And I'm pretty sure that Brock's mom and dad took over his gym, due to that one Chronicles episode where it turns out they mucked it up :p

Yeah, when Brock returned home, he found his dad shamed that his wife had made the gym girly with bright colors and turned the Gym into a water gym. In the end Brocks dad and mom had a battle to see how the Gym would go, and it stayed rock but those two were gaga over eachother, (can see where Brock gets it now) at the first battle, Brocks dad got beaten. He used golem and onix and she used Marril and Mantine.

I've wondered about this several times myself, though I never imagined any of them could not be Flint's kids. I always figured, that the kids would be at least a year apart. Brock 15, maybe the second oldest, at least 13, or something. But that would mean the youngest would be around 5? Which would mean, Flint would have left when Brock was around 10, he's been gone for 5 years or so? He couldn't have taken up such responsibility if he was SO young. I mean, there seemed to be no toddlers when Ash and Flint were peeking in. But then there was a pair of twins. Maybe more than one pair? Or there's also triplets, or something?

I once tried even to chart all the siblings, and write in what Brock told Flint about each of them, Susie's dresses, Timmy's cold spagetti, Tommy's corn flakes, the twins' baths, Cindy's bell, etc. Even made a few up.

those two were gaga over eachother, (can see where Brock gets it now)

That did solve that mystery.XDAnd to think I always wondered what would happen if Flint saw Brock, and Misty drag him away, Ash, maybe shaking his head. Makes me wonder how many pretty girls probably just got a badge from the Pewter Gym, or maybe he just went easy on them, as he probably didn't have much time to go on dates and all that.

How are Bagons not extinct yet?

maybe we ARE reading too much into this

How does a pokémon like, say Trapinch, make a sandstorm? Does it conjure it or something?

Not to mention how they do anything else move-wise, how they get effects...etc.

I don't think much into it (I've got a pretty much "a wizard did it" mentality there), but I thought I'd throw that out there for pondering! Not that it all, moves and all, wouldn't have been brought up sooner or later.

Another one that I personally don't think about, but is worth mentioning since this is an untold-pokemon-facts thing: if we didn't take into account that the show and the games are family-friendly, why and how are pokemon able to withstand so many attacks or very powerful ones or what have you without being physically injured (broken bones, internal bleeding, external bleeding, more etc here) or being killed?

I expect these have been brought up a lot...but yeah...I'm probably confused here.

Have you ever played Darkstar One? That's a good explanation. The cannons are really a hard muscle/skeletal adaptation and they have a direct line to the water in their body. How they have all that water... I don't know.

perhaps their shell is hollow, and they can fill it up like a submarine?

Lol at people who think blastoise stores all that water

Anyway the brock thing is stupid easy

I love this

You guys really don't think about thinks do you?

Give me the line that says brocks dad left when he was little

Give me one solid piece of evidence that flint was gone for over a year?

He was a gym leader who went to fight in the championships
Championships take like a week max

Get it yet

Starts out like this
flint his wife and brock are all home
Flint "Okay I'm gonna go fight in the championship
Flint goes fights for a week at the championship

While he is gone

His mother who has been trying to get booked as a musician finally gets picked up and booked for a tour

"sorry this is such short notice brock I didn't want to go on tour till you're father got back anyway I have to go now take care of the kids till dad comes back"

Brock takes care of kids

Flint loses
Full of shame he tries to build up the courage to come home and tell all his kids he's probably been talking all big too he failed

He was probubly all like "YEA IM TOTALLY GONA WIN JUST WAIT YOU'RE DADDYS GONNA BE ELITE FOUR"

Then he fails and doesn't wanna tell his kids he sucks so he stays on the outside of the town for like 2 weeks or maybe even just a day or so

Ash comes along

Who's thtat
Gym leader
Wheres his parents

His mom left and his dads a deadbeat

Ie his mom went on tour for a bit and i failed at the gym

He doesn't say his mom was dead exept in the dubb

Its all set up to make it look like he was gone for years but in reality was missing a total of 1 day to a few weeks

Then he comes back

Brock was never like

oh my god my father that was never hear

here take care of my family

I havent met you since i was five but I trust you

come on people use you're brains

So he stays

Brock goes with ash

and a few days to weeks to month later his mom comes back

Brock isn't that surprised that his mom is back

He is more suprised she turns the gym into a flower rainbow nasty thing.

got it?

man If I didn't delete my stuff
maaaaaaaaaaaaan sooo much soooo soo much

Also they are obviousely all flints kids as we know
Brock has his eyes closed all the time

So does flint

So does allot of his brothers.

Uh u know that pokemon battles are like boxing matches
They aren't trying to kill each other
They are sparing

How to boxers take punches that would kill a normal person all the time?

They train.

If a psychic felt like it it could crush you're organs
Make you explode
Anything if felt like doing

Why do you think they normally just throw them?
Duh they can't survive being ripped to pieces

If Pikachu felt like it could easily kill you

But he normally just hits people enough to paralyze them
he basically tazes people instead of electrocutes them

Person below

Offer some evidence please.
Cause I spend quite a bit of time on that and there is zero evidence that says otherwise

Go on

Flint never says one time how long brocks father was gone

its all insinuated never said
You were misled

Umm, I don't think it's even close to that. A couple years gone at least.

The water comes from the same place that Link puts all his gear.

Also, "The Revolution", I suggest you get your facts straight for once.
Maybe you should invest in the indigo league season of pokemon then watch "showdown in pewter city".
See what happens.

Brock's father actually says that his mother passed away and his deadbeat father left a long time ago to become a pokemon trainer.
Not a day, not a week, a long time.
I'm pretty sure if someone passes away within 2 weeks, they're still feeling sorrow for the incident and chances are they're not buried yet.
Thereby Brock would have taken off greivance days from losing his mother.
Think about it, kid.

Please give me this reference where his mom "came back"
I'd love to see it.

Regarding Diglett/Dugtrio, it was mentioned once by a Diglett in Pokémon Mysterious Dungeon that they have feet underneath.
I'm sorry, but this is all I could picture.

I thought Pokemon disregarded science. There does not need to be an explanation for how evolution works.

Edit: Man, just got upstaged.
