Soon, I'll find myself a copy of Devil Survivor to play.

Anyways, just finished Ace Attorney: Trilogy. The music is OFF THE CHARTS!!!!! Each track is from one of the games of the Trilogy. I think each track shapes up what makes each one so great.

People will never stop bashing FFXIII, but one thing they tend to leave alone is the soundtrack, for good reason. Saber's Edge is my personal favorite from this game.

This one song seems to remind people of a lot of things... Professor Layton, Pokemon Mystery Dungeon, Kingdom Hearts. Whatever it resembles, most people agree that it's beautiful, intense, and violins are what need to intensify, not trumpets.

Speaking of which, Kingdom Hearts has had battles against powerful dragon-things while playing to kickass violin solos nine years before ORAS did. This is a fully orchestrated version that was created for the 2.5 re-release. Some people claim the original was better, but me... I like this one much better. Both versions go mercilessly full-force on the adrenaline, which is perfect for what's a part of the final battle.

I'd like to take some time to share some pieces of video game BGM I've come to like myself.

A pretty memorable boss fight, accompanied by rather fitting music. The original Master Hand fight takes the cake for me due to the sheer mystery surrounding the character and how much of an accomplishment it felt like to take him down. (Well, if you were a kid anyway.)

First off, I'll note that I hated this level a lot. With that out of the way, the level theme was actually pretty catchy. (And with how many times you'll likely die, you'll be hearing it a lot.)

Probably one of the final bosses I loved fighting the most. The lead up to this fight is pretty grueling, and the fight itself feels like it lasts for ages. At no point does it ever seem like Byakuren is getting desperate, at least not until her very last Spell Card anyway. Although Touhou's not really a game series for dramatic plots, the final boss fights are rarely disappointing, to the point that you'll feel quite satisfied when you finally win. Byakuren was no different, as the fight took me many tries. Her battle theme seems well suited to the lengthy battle of endurance, and symbolizes the fact that this is the climax of a very challenging game. Probably one of the more dramatic final boss themes, befitting its name "Emotional Skyscraper".

I agree 100%. In fact, this song is so awesome that it even appears in Smash Wii U.

The soundtrack in this game is so good! It's probably my favorite in the entire Mega Man series! I especially love the Highway intro stage theme. Love love LOVE it! <3

Ahhh! This soundtrack is just amazing! It was so hard to pick which Zelda soundtrack I loved the most, but this one just stands out to me! I love it!

Those are the three I listen to the most, but I have an entire album of video game music I love to listen to and I'll be here all night talking about it if I could! Haha!
 
Like ocelot, it'd be really hard for me to narrow down an absolute favorite or group of favorites. So I'm here to share some other songs that managed to catch my eye over the years. (Or would "catch my ear" be more appropriate?)

Probably my favorite Maverick fight theme in the Mega Man X games. The first time this song plays in-game can make quite an impression imo. It makes the boss fights feel all the more climatic, even the easier ones. Easily one of the highlights of Mega Man X5's OST for me.

Not a game I've played yet. (Obviously, it's not even out yet.) Being a Castlevania fan however, I'm looking forward to this game a lot. The revealed soundtrack so far is amazing, and really showcases the talents of Ippo Yamada and Michuru Yamane respectively. Hoping to back this game sometime next month if I can.

Can't neglect to mention Persona 3's soundtrack. I love the contrast between this song and the regular battle theme "Mass Destruction", which is considerably more upbeat and catchy. Master of Shadow plays during the game's big boss fights, namely the Full Moon Shadows. The first few seconds really hammer in the serious nature of these battles.

The game's regular batle theme is really catchy. The boss battle theme is like "I'm fighting a powerful foe, but it's nothing I can't handle". This theme however is more like "Oh god I'm screwed". I love all of the songs in the game, but this one really stands out. Nobuo Uematsu is truly a genius.

The main theme of Metal Gear Solid 3. It plays during several key moments in the game, including Snake's entry into Groznyj Grad. It becomes an ear worm pretty fast.

The Fury's boss theme. Probably one of my favorite fights in the game due to how fast-paced it gets once he starts attacking more erratically. The fights with the members of the Cobra Unit are pretty fun, and this fight is no exception. The Fury's boss theme fits both the early stealth-leaning portion of the fight and the latter part where you're simply trying to survive The Fury's sea of flames and kill him.

Jetstream Sam's battle theme, and perhaps the most hardcore fight theme in the game. Fits too, as the long awaited duel between Raiden and Sam is probably one of the best fights in the game, if not THE best. Unlike other bosses in the game, Sam really does not have a set pattern or gimmick. It's all about reading his movements and reacting properly, which can take some practice because of how fast and hard Sam hits. To hammer in how climatic this fight is, it's worth noting that other boss themes in the game (Rules of Nature, Red Sun, etc) don't have the lyrics kick in until the fight is getting serious or something awesome is happening. (They're instrumentals up to that point.) With Sam's boss fight though? The lyrics are there from the getgo. Fits too, as you can easily say the confrontation with Jetstream Sam is the most iconic fight in the game next to the final boss himself.
