What Melee Weapon Would ^ Bring to a Fight?

A sentient giant longsword decorated to resemble an orca. This cetacean brand of war is imbued with preternatural auras pertaining to darkness and light, befitting the 'killer whales' conflictingly friendly and dangerous reputations; and has a special transformation in which the 'fangs' that decorate the blade itself split open, essentially forming a giant pair of scissors. And befitting the monochromatic coloration of orcas: the jaw that's entrenched in black is imbued in darkness, while the 'lower jaw', the one caked in white, emanates radiant, yet threatening light energies.
