Music What song are you currently listening to?

"A Dying God Coming into Human Flesh" by Celtic Frost.

Holy shit, I should've given these guys a listen they deserve. An early pioneer of extreme metal here, I'm really quite ashamed that I haven't properly appreciated them until now.

A band I had not heard of until I was searching for new music on the Metal Archives and discovered a band I'm really enjoying now - I loved how the Icelandic vocals blend in perfectly with the metal music.

Skálmöld - "Kvaðning"

lyrics:
Ligg ég eftir langa drauma,
liggur stirður, hugur sljór.
harið finn ég kröftugt krauma,
kreistir hefnd ef fyrrum sór.
Heiðin býr að blindum,
horfi ég mót svörtum tindum,
Hel býr þar í mörgum myndum:
myrkur, kuldi ís og snjór.

Heljarsál af himnum steyptist,
hafði af mér bú og menn.
Hatrið inn í hugann geyptist,
heldur mér á lífi enn.
Fleyjum þínum feigðin grandi,
finn ég þig á sjó og landi.
Kem ég til þín forni fjandi,
fundir okkar nálgast senn.

Morgunsól á miðri heiði,
minningarnar sækja á.
Mikil er og römm sú reiði,
rífur sárin hatrið þá.
Eitt sinn átti fljóð að finna
sem fallig gætti barna minna,
en núna hef ég verk að vinna:
vega blóðga, stinga' og flá.

Höldum nú á feigðarinnar fund,
þetta ferðalag mun telja okkar daga.
Vaskir menn á vígamóðri stund
og Valhöll bíður okkar.
Höldum nú á feigðarinnar fund,
þetta ferðalag er köllun vor og saga.
Vaskir menn á vígamóðri stund
og Valhöll bíður okkar allra þá.
I just wish I could find translation for the lyrics

First verse in the song "Til Rondefolkets Herskab" by Ásmegin.

Metsatöll - "Kotkapojad"

translates to 'Sons of Eagle' according to their lyrics page

Kotka pojad pilve kojad
Kõrgel kaljul jätsid maha
Musta äiksepilve taha
Üle mere üle lahe
Läbi tormi tuule rahe
Tõttes välja äikseilma
Teritades kotkasilma

Kotka pojad pesad soojad
Need ei köida tormilinde
Tuld ja terast ei too rindu
Jäägu pesad kaljupraod
Rasked saod piksemaod
Maha murdev tormilend
See on kotkapoja vend

(translation in English)
Sons of eagles left behind
Their halls in the clouds on high cliffs
Behind a black thundercloud
Over the sea, over the bay
Through the tempest, wind and hail
Hastening out to the thunderous weather
Sharpening their eagle’s eyes

Sons of eagles, nests warm
Won’t bind the stormy petrels
Won’t bring fire and steel into their hearts
Leave behind the nests, crevices in cliffs
Heavy rain, thunder worms
A flight in a storm that strikes down
This is the brother of the eagle’s son
