Tauros (Touro) - Portuguese word for Tauros, obvious male.

Still need to catch it. Gonna be a pain to get, I suppose. Strength and Rock Climb will be used until I beat the game due to need.

....but then i somehow ended up with:

Covers a variety of types (fire, water, dark, flying, electric, dragon) and will hopefully be one of my better teams. I'll pry stick with this team even through Kanto and beat Red with it in the end. woohoo.

Note: These are all pokemon I caught (or received) and raised in this game. Haven't traded any over from an old game yet. Just..don't see the point.

Currently, in order of use:

Typhlosion to Erupt everything that isn't Water or Rock.
Vaporeon to kill anything that would injure Typh.
Ampharos to kill anything that would injure Vaporeon.
Dragonite to laugh while attacks bounce off her belly.
Ho-oh to fly me around the map.
Xatu-in-training to see if she's any fun. Hidden Power guy said "Bug," don't know if I want to use it or not.

With Beedrill as TM slave + that stop at 1HP move to capture Unowns, and a retired Latias because her IVs are crud. Everything else is just box fodder.

My beast line up is
Meganium - on of my personal favorite poke lines, but not the strongest in the world against johto gyms. Actually it doesnt have an advantage in 1 gym...

Typhlosion - again one of my personal favs..

kingdra - a powerful dragon type/ water type dual. It only has one weakness and a diverse move pool

Ampharos - Seems to be the most common put pokemon on every ones team. Why not? it must be over used for a reason

Scizor - Such a quick desisive battler

Umbreon - Ehhh why not?

As you can see my pokemon are a bit underleveled to be at the point where I have all 8 gym badges and I'm battling the kimono girls.

Also all of my pokemon except Victreebell are females xD
My Graveler which I switch between Hypno and Graveler is also a boy but most of my pokemon (even the ones in my PC box) are females.
