Your unpopular music/film/tv opinons

Sports are soooo boring. As is 'reality television'.

I never really found anime very intriguing.
Linkin Park and all the other "emo" groups (well, most of them anyway) are good bands.
Three Days Grace isn't that impressive. They have a couple of songs I like, but nothing too impressive.
The Sickness is a crappy album. Ten Thousand Fists, on the other hand, is one of the best metal albums of all time.
I despise Slayer. I never liked their music and I feel they are responsible for many of the negative stereotypes associated with metal.
Folk rock is a really good genre. It's a shame it never went mainstream.
Prog rock is the best rock subgenre.
I cannot stand Katy Perry at all.
I never saw what was so impressive about Iron Maiden. They're alright, but not as good as some people think they are.
Blues is a really good genre.
I actually kind of like Nickelback.
Disney Channel and Disney XD are pretty bad. Even Gravity Falls and Phineas and Ferb.
Into The Woods was a horrible movie.

And that's only scratching the surface.

The only thing that really annoys me about Tauriel is she was brought in for pretty much the unneeded romance plot.

That's the final reason I didn't go to see The Desolation of Smaug or The Battle of Five Armies. It's like there was the massive assumption floating around that the story just wasn't strong enough without another elf-woman to float around being a love interest

The reason why I didn't so see them was because I thought they were made for money and not for good entertainment. I hate this trend of dividing individual books into multiple movies. I also felt like the Dwarves were cheated out of a lot of screen time because dwarves aren't exactly eye-candy.

I like Titanic as well. (And disco.)

I'm gonna say it cause it seems like a lot of people think Korra is the worst Avatar. Honestly, I say Korra is the best Avatar, only because of how much she transformed the world. As Tenzin said in the finale, "Korra, you've transformed the world more in a few years than most Avatars did during their life times." Spoilers down below for what she's done.

She undermined an entire revolution by exposing Amon as a Waterbender. She prevented 10,000 years of darkness by defeating Dark Avatar Unalaq(despite losing the connection to her past lives.) Her decision to leave the portals open not only brought humans and spirits closer, but it led to the rebirth of the Air Nation. She ended Kuvira's reign and opened a new spirit portal in the world. By defeating Kuvira, she also opened the path for the Earth Kingdom's transformation into a series of democratic states(which she will aid in helping.)

Pretty much why I think Korra is the best Avatar, even more so than Aang.

Here's some more:
- Legolas didn't contribute anything to The Hobbit trilogy besides unnecessary fanservice.
- The Rolling Stones have no talent.
- There were a lot of crappy cartoons in the 90s too (and I mean throughout the 90s, not just at the beginning and the end).
- There were good cartoons in the 80s. I think the original My Little Pony wasn't as bad as many bronies say it is. I actually prefer it to the newer series. (Most of the fans I've met for it were nicer too.)
- Sonic Sat AM wasn't that great. (I admit, I did kinda like Sally, but I didn't like Antoine, or the portrayal of Tails, and that's not even getting into Dulcy...)
- The Barbie movies aren't as bad as people say they are. (They're definitely not among the best, I admit, but I've seen plenty of worse animated films.)
- I think Nate Ruess' newer songs (both with Fun. and by himself) are much better than his older songs (with The Format).
- Steven Universe is a terrible show and I fail to grasp why it's so popular. (A lot of people my age, including some of my friends, think it's sacrilege that I don't like it.)
- MLP: FIM is disgustingly overrated. I don't see what the big deal is.
- Maury, Jerry Springer, and Jeremy Kyle are actually pretty fun to watch.

Is it just me, or is my generation (those born in the 80s and grew up in the 90s) really getting spoiled rotten with nostalgia throwbacks? I actually kind of hate it. Why can't we let shit that happened back in the 80s and 90s STAY in the 80s and 90s? Let things stay dead, goddammit! Not everything has to last if it wasn't meant to be. What's the point of nostalgia if this is going to be a thing? God forbid we have anything new to entertain ourselves with.

The first 15 or so episodes of Steven Universe are terrible. Everyone agrees. But it gets MUCH better later on.

I seem to have so many unpopular movie and TV opinions that I'd be writing an essay if I listed them all. But I seem to like a lot of movies that didn't get good reivews or praise from people. And I seem to hate a lot of shows that many people love. I must have poor taste or something. But oh well, I can't just stop liking or disliking stuff...

I like Iron Maiden's Virtual XI album. A lot of Iron Maiden fans consider this to be their worst album, but i don't. It has some really good songs like The Clansman, Como Estais Amigo, Futureal and The Educated Fool.

I agree that The Angel and the Gambler is a terrible song though.

May I ask why you think it's terrible? I can see why it wouldn't appeal to some people. You could, say, disike the style of humour or the side characters or something along these lines, but I don't see why it's terrible. I don't wnat to start an argument or something, because posting opinions most people won't agree with is the whole point of this thread, but I'm curious.

Meanwhile, I'll add another controversial opinion to the mix:

- Teen Titans GO! is a good show and I don't see what's wrong with it. Maybe that's because I never watched the original Teen Titans, but I just don't understand what's so wrong with it.

The vast majority of adult cartoons (Mr. Pickles, Brickleberry, Adult Party Cartoon, Squidbillies, Superjail, modern Family Guy to name a few) are some of the worst cartoons ever made.

Johnny Test doesn't even scratch the surface when it comes to crappy flash cartoons. We have Brickleberry, Superjail, My Life Me, Pixel Pinkie, Wild Grinderz, NFL Rushzone, Kid vs. Kat, and Breadwinners, all flash cartoons that are far worse than Johnny Test.

The use of stock photos in cartoons is a stupid trend that needs to die.

- James Bond sucks. There are loads better spy movies out there.
- I hate the Beatles. Can't stand their music.
- I hate the movie Space Jam. Fucking awful movie and I cringe whenever it is played on TV.
- I like Teen Titans Go
- Mars needs Moms isn't as bad as what people say it is.

[tries really, really hard to not cut a Chris Jericho promo on you]

Anyway, I like the Final Destination movies. I think they have an original, interesting plot that while repeated in each film, is done well with different variations in each one. It helps that the opening disasters are practically destruction porn. Especially the North Bay Bridge collapse in 5.

This is a topic where I struggled to find out something that could be considered unpopular, but I think I found something.

I like Disney Doug's theme. A lot of people seem to hold on the opinion that it's inferior to Nickelodeon's version, but I liked how idyllic it sounded. The fact that the content of very few episodes in Disney's version is known if kind of a pity, because I would like to see how it's like now.

Thanks for reading.

Dio Sabbath is just as good as Ozzy Sabbath, if not better.

Born Again (w/ Ian Gillan on vocals) is a good Sabbath album.

Not a fan of tsunderes. Having grown up with an alcoholic mother, I fail to see how a male getting beaten up by a female is hilarious.

Actually, pretty much any "dere" isn't amusing to me.
