It seems like Serena is actually going to appear if the leaker is legit, and we're not in April fools anymore. Apparently she has two new outfits, both new normal clothes and a new contest dress. Again assuming this is true....

Probably because Ash and Serena won't meet till the very end of the episode. While Serena is with Koharu performing, Ash will be battling Wallace outside so he won't be watching the contest.

I assume if Serena sees Ash it won't be till the last 2 minutes of the episode when everything else is done.
 
Not to bring anyone's hopes up, but the ribbon Chloe's Eevee is wearing is the same one that Serena's Eevee used to wear.

I thing it's weird not to hype up Serena's return (Dawn had her poster and Iris' return was announced as well), so I still believe she isn't appearing, but the preview caught me off-guard in that we really don't know if the Sylveon is Lisia's (which is likely)
 
Serena’s ribbon is gone. And most of the fandom is applauding it.
Do you not understand how important that ribbon is? It was a gift to Ash and an important symbol of their relationship, hence why it was on her outfit in the first place and ALWAYS SHOULD BE. Removing her ribbon is like removing Pikachu from Ash, it’s that iconic to her. I can expect anything else but removing the ribbon, a central part of her character development? This is the last straw. If this is true I’m rightfully outraged.
You’re not a true Amourshipper if you feel that loosing the ribbon is good for Serena.

There is no criteria of being a amourshipper. You can be one with liking the removal or not.
 
I'm surprised Serena is apparently getting two new outfits. Every other character has returned in their same old clothes.

Not an Amourshipper but honestly, if that is the case, maybe it’s something that’s good for her character. The ribbon was a symbol of growth for her but at the same time can be seen as a growth dependent on Ash. Maybe to change up her look but not include the ribbon, it’s a symbol of her growing to stand on her own 2 feet. She wouldn’t forget the significance of the ribbon but would have grown to not need to physically attach it to herself. I personally say her growing to be something more than just 1/2 of a ship is good for her character as it allows her to be her own person.

Alternatively, the leak could be fake and the Amourshippers are losing their minds over nothing.
