Still no hamster connection... He can turn into a hamster, but he's not a ghost. What would either of these have to do with Morpeko or Ghost-types?

Jekyl and Hyde is a story from 1886. It's been public domain for years now. No, but if you're wanting to base it off a specific franchise, then it will be copyright. And, again, none of your examples even had a hamster in them. Vision and Martian Manhunter aren't even ghosts.

Not only are these still copyright, they're also from the early 2000s. That's really recent. And what connection does Danny Phantom have to rodents? At this point, it looks like you're just bringing up anything with a vague relation to ghosts, without even trying to connect it to the Pokemon...

1989 and 1983, while old enough to be around for SwSh's development, is not "very old". It's certainly not old enough to have expired its copyright and have a Pokemon made based on it. Still didn't give him ghostly powers.

Pet Semetary wasn't even out when SwSh started development. Frankenstein never had any spiritual powers.

He joked, and didn't laugh, and didn't clarify, and let everyone think that it was going to happen, and let news sources report on it, drawing criticism towards the games....Just because he thought it would be funny? And nobody told him to stop, even if it would affect the games? That's way...

"Over interpret"? We're literally going by his statement. And what did he say about the dex cut? "This will be our policy for future games as well".

Well, we didn't get contests, or the PSS, or following Pokemon, so...still not an example of Game Freak bringing back features. We're listening to the words of Game Freak themselves. It's not pessimism, it's believing that the people designing a game won't add something if they say they won't...

Everyone agrees that it's bad. Doesn't stop it from happening. Mega Ampharos was part of the first megas revealed, and it did have a type change. (This also doesn't really have anything to do with whether Game Freak would keep in Megas or old Pokemon...)

Alola, which lacked contests, the PSS, following Pokemon and some amie minigames, is not a shining example of all features being included. Never stopped them from removing things before.

Yes, they can change what they want, but there's not much point in singling out Mystical Fire in that case. The move description says nothing about rolling, though. Hail is slightly ball-shaped, but shards are an entirely different shape.
