    oh hey, I just noticed that my two-year anniversary of joining the forums was the other day! i missed it, bleh.
    of course, it doesn't mean much, since I only started posting in February of this year... but anything's a reason to celebrate, right??

    sigh. I'm currently using a forum style that makes links green (Bulbagarden Classic)... and just now, I clicked on some plain text that was just colored green several times, wondering "WHY WON'T THIS LINK OPEN?!"

    I don't feel all too smart right now.

    my cat used to try to touch the birds that she saw on the TV screen, thinking that they were real birds.

    that's basically how I felt touching that on my phone, thinking that it was a real link. :confused:

    I sometimes mess up with links. I'll click a link I already clicked on because I didn't notice that it changed from blue to purple.

    i... think the Postings tab on my profile is messed up?
    it's suddenly missing a TON of posts I've made (like my most recent one, and all of the ones from the Random Carp Thread). the posts are all still there in the threads, they're just not in my "your content" tab anymore. what's up with that?? is it just me? :confused:

    I think starting next month, I might put my Pokeani blog on hold for a while until further notice. I'll still update it on important stuff when I have the time and energy (and I might change my mind when the time comes) but oddly enough it feels like it's stressing me out more than it is fun right now lol. I might rework it into something else or start a new blog, who knows.

    I listen to a lot of VGM soundtracks, off the top of my head, music from Endless Legend, Sunless Skies, Heroes of Might and Magic (the whole series has good OST barring the first game) are all really good.

    As for non-VGM, have you ever heard of Dream Theater? It's fantastic, I'd recommend starting with their album "Metropolis part two: Scenes from a memory", it's my favourite album of theirs and for good reasons.

    Then there's Coheed and Cambria, another really good band with a very... Varied style. My first album of theirs was "Good Apollo, I'm burning star IV: From fear through the eyes of madness", which... Weird title, I know, and the lyrics are bizzare but the music is good.

    And how could I forget about "Of Monsters and Man".

    @Just a Torchic - TMBG and ABBA are great, that definitely reminded me I need to listen to them more often. I've always been curious about the playlists that certain places use like that, I didn't know you could find them online! If I ever need specific suggestions of where to look I'll be sure to ask you.

    @Fan of Jarrus - I used to listen to a lot of covers of anime songs too! Mostly English covers of OPs or even Vocaloid music. There's a lot of talent out there.

    @LazySpy - Holy crap, those are awesome. I listen to a lot of different genres of late-90s/mid-00s rock to begin with, so those two albums you mentioned seem like they're totally up my alley after checking them out.

    You know the cool thing about Coheed and Cambria, it's that they actually wrote a comic book series based on their music...
    It's called "The Amory Wars", and it's a "there's an evil empire, also there's rebels" kind of story, but the plot and setting are bizzare.

    So anyway, I remembered overnight some more music you could also check out, there's the soundtrack to the game Chrono Trigger, the band called "Aphrodite's Child", Vangelis was actually a part of it and he is absolutelly worth it if you've never heard of him, he's the man behind the OST to Blade Runner, Alexander, 1492 Conquest of Paradise, and many other movies...

    just remembered I had another forum dream this morning, but this time it was represented as a library. every thread was inside a book, and all the boards were in different sections. weird but also kinda makes sense somehow...

    I think so. I barely remember at this point but there might have even been two floors connected by an escalator. (which is like... what library even has escalators??)
    I'll be honest, I was so distracted by the stuff I was reading in the dream, I didn't even think to look anywhere else :confused: Fun & Games totally does feel like it would be that little room with some of those old desktop computers that libraries used to have though.

    it's been going good! I finally caved and installed a few mods to make my life easier and it's really been draining all my time for a couple of days. (i'm mostly a Sims 3 kinda person, but IMO Sims 4 would be a good place to start if you ever want to get into it! i'm still waiting on the inevitable TS5 eventually though...)

    i've thought about it, but just putting my phone down seems to do the trick just fine =P
    Last week I was dodging spoilers for New Pokemon Snap, today I'm dodging them for the latest episode of the Pokemon anime until I get a chance to watch it a bit later... I'm definitely thankful people on this site are so diligent about putting stuff under spoiler tags.

    I need to watch the Pokemon anime. I thought about watching XY fully (BW and XY (and Alola ig) were my childhood ones), but I never really got around to it. Once get my hacked switch, I'm gonna enjoy New Pokemon Snap for sure, hopefully with texture mods to make it look even nicer
