This is totally tangential, but it seems like sprites are being phased out. Menu icons in BDSP and item icons in Legends aren’t sprites like in previous generations, which makes me a bit sad since A) sprites are easier to edit and build upon in my opinion, and B) I feel like sprites added a nice...
I don’t think that’s an indicator of size difference, it just seems like the player is at a different position that is further than the player in the bottom screenshot. From the images of wild Pokémon shown together, members of the same species look to be the same size.
Honestly, I wouldn’t mind getting new pre-evolutions for single stage Pokémon because I really like evolving Pokémon. It’s a satisfying goal to reach and has partially driven some playthroughs of mine. My main issue is that baby Pokémon come across as inconveniences due to their inability to...
The in-game map does look a little small and empty, though it does have a zoom function that might switch to a more detailed version upon closeup. The artsy regional map, however, looks more detailed albeit not as much as previous region maps in my opinion.
If we do see Pokémon as the "villains," I don't think I'd like them to be outright be evil, especially Giratina as I feel that would be a bit cliché. What I'd like to see is the Pokémon behaving more like Eldritch abominations beyond human understanding, if that makes sense. Like, they aren't...
I don't think that's a regional variant considering how small and unnoticeable the change is. Someone in the comments wondered if that was a way to tell what the Wurmple is going to evolve into, which I think is a more likely explanation (though that just might stem from my frustrations with...
I'd imagine that new Pokemon will get dex numbers after Calyrex, so 899 and above. As for the regional dex, I'm not so sure. Since we're making Hisui's first Pokedex, we might have completely new numbers for (almost) all Pokemon in the regional dex.
Apologies for the double post, but...
I'm going to say yes, just because I think it would be weird to only give the Red form an evolution. Since we didn't see it, however, I'm wondering if it looks drastically different from the red form--if it exists, that is.
Just coming in to say that I think Hisuin Braviary is most likely based on Stellar's sea eagle. Patterning on the wings is similar and it's said to be larger than regular Braviary (Stellar's sea eagles are larger than bald eagles).
I don't think we'll see any main series games released the same year as GameFreak's big, ambitious project that is so large that the torch of creating a remake was passed onto another studio.
Since I don't think anyone has posted the box art yet...
The artwork reminds me a lot of Explorer's of Sky's boxart. I really like it--I think this may be my favorite cover out of the core series.
I'm going to assume no considering Cyrus sought to create a world without spirit, and none of the overworld scenes give that sort of vibe. I mean, the player characters are shown smiling and all. Plus, the trailer suggests that this is set in the current Pokémon timeline, just in the past.
Could you please elaborate on this? I don't really see how GameFreak "cared too much about" graphics in XY. Edit: While I do think the toll of making the first 3D Pokémon had an impact on other aspects of the game, I don't see updating to 3D as caring too much about graphics if that's what...
Reading through the article, it appears that Sugimori was referring to selling Pokémon, such as Mythicals, for money rather than selling a DLC pack with some exclusive Pokémon in it. He, like Masuda, did not say that GameFreak will never sell DLC, nor never sell Pokémon for money for that matter.
