With the rumors about inkays evo happening when you flip the 3ds, I was thinking maybe it could start off like a normal level evo but if you dont flip in the middle it turns out the same as if you pressed b button.

Interesting, but I would prefer a split-evo. Level Inkay up to level, say 20, and it begins. If it levels up while the 3DS is upside-down, it turns into malimar. If not, it turns into some other squid pokemon with downward tentacles.

Well Hiro denied those rumors. He also confirmed that Espurr and Meowstick are real.

I have the feeling that the list Melkor made as a joke back in February is true with some false info. A lot in that list is actually real (Lucario and Mewtwo getting evolutions, 3rd stage evolutions)

Yes it was, with Litleo's evo supposedly being a Fire/Poison manticore and a counterpart to this icy werewolf thing.

I remember that, it was posted around when he was talking about Sylveon being Fairy, and it seemed like he was just taking the piss...along with the Lucario and Mewtwo stuff, he said something about it being very violent which made it sound like it was a big joke. Forgot where he posted it at.

EDIT: I've spent the last hour looking and can't find it, in part because my search for "Hiro talks about new evolutions" is always redirected to the actual Mega Reveal

Found this on Serebii, apparently there's a new rumored list on the block.

I'll admit that I like the Saber toothed fossil, ice wolf and Ouroboros legendary, but otherwise taking this with a grain of salt.

Gathering together all the lakes we've got until now, this new Generation seems like the Advanced Bug-Type Generation. Pff. I don't really like so many Bug types, and for more there was not any pre or evolution for the previous gen. Pokemon. I can surely think that this may be fake.
What I really like is the ideas for the water type Pokemon. But still I don't want this to be real.

Pff. I don't really like so many Bug types, and for more there was not any pre or evolution for the previous gen. Pokemon. I can surely think that this may be fake. What I really like is the ideas for the water type Pokemon. But still I don't want this to be real.

Why "pff"? The Bug-type is great and while Gen V improved the type introducing some great species, they still need some buff, unlike the Water-type which was always awesome. Some new Bug-type legendaries? Yay for more strong Bug-types. A new mantis-based (Bug/Psychic) Pokémon? Yay, Scyther/Scizor are great, after all. I am not saying those rumors are legit, though, but if they are, that will be a pretty good thing.

Maybe not E4s and gyms, but their were still types shared by champions and gyms (Clair and Lance, Wallace and Juan, and Drayden and Iris). But, I don't like the reusing of types. Their are now 18 types of Pokemon. There is no reason why types are reused.

I feel like we need more people to play the demos and specifically try to do research with specific matchups. We need inside agents, man!

What we also need is for Nintendo to release these demos on the 3DS eShop.

They don't want the demos to be datamined, if it goes to the Eshop people will datamine it.

Oh right, then I agree with you, it would (will?) be nice to have another "bad" type gaining focus, like Grass. In regards of the other "leak", it was most likely fake and the same is probably valid about this new one as well.

I do agree that the list is likely fake

BUT

Sinnoh had 4 Psychic and Unova had 4 Fighting legendaries, what is the problem with 3 Bug legendaries in Kalos? Also, technically, there is already a zombie Pokémon, which is Parasect, so the idea isn't ridiculous at all. Lastly, "too many two stagers"? There is no rule saying that they can't introduce a lot of these, if they want to.

I deliberately did not count Lance, Iris, or Juan because in the games they share Gyms with they are the Champion, not technically the E4 (Lance as an E4 member did not share elements with any Kanto gym; likewise, Koga as an E4 member did not share elements with any Johto gym).

I think RS were the only games where the Gym Leaders, E4, and Champion did not share any types. (Noting that the Champ in Kanto and Sinnoh and Unova 1 were mixed-element teams, not type specialists).

I meant that other red headed fire elite from Hoenn, with the snazzy vest.

Bug has the least legendary representation besides maybe dark? I dunno, it be cool to see some, but nothing exactly screams rare and mythical about bugs. They should exist in masses, and not as rarities. It would be a nice nod to the series' creator but *shrugs* what do I know? Apparently I'm wrong a lot lately. And its not something they HAVE to do, but with old mon in the region, if there's a lot of one stagers and two stagers, the trusty old 3 stagers will be much preferred to the old.Well damn, Sid's actually a dark type master. I knew something was off.

That was Sydney. He was a dark type trainer. There were no fire type elite four members in Hoenn.
