Figure I'll just catch this ep in reruns, but I do have a question. Who decides on the pronunciations of the names, NoA or 4Kids?

Hm! I was thinking the same thing, actually, until they showed the little two-minute "everyone's trading stuff, it's neat! " at the end. Considering the islands had such a bitter rivalry going on, having them kiss-and-make-up in the span of an afternoon seemed a little sudden...Kthleen said:All the kids fighting was interesting, but I can't say that the resolution made sense. Despite that this is Pokémon, I thought Nancy and Keith were eventually going mercilessly teased or even beat up.
Does anyone know for a fact who Deepsea Teeth/Scales come from?

I wonder why 4kids didn't use their digital paint bucket to alter the islands?Dogasu said:Originally, the islands were called I, Ro, and Ha, after the katakana symbols the islands look like.
Dogasu said:I would assume NOA, since they're the ones who come up with the names and all.
I thought it was "ill-loo-meez." I didn't look too much at its Japanese name, so I didn't get that it was "ill-loo-mee-zay." Dadgummit, they should have put an e with an acute accent at the end. Illumisé.Kauri said:"ill-loo-miss"?
I've always pronounced it "gor-uh-biss", too. Gorebyss looks like a sleek, almost-kinda-pretty Pokemon; it's a little hard to associate it with a word like "gore", isn't it? It'd be like trying to call Eevee "Fluffydeath" or something.

But, I suppose they had to work a resolution in there, somehow.
Actually, I meant which Pokémon. (I don't have Ru/Sa/E, but thanks anyway.) Is it that scales from Gorebyss make Clamperl evolve into more Gorebyss and teeth from Huntail make Clamperl evolve into more Huntail? Or do these teeth/scales come from some other Pokémon? Or perhaps even a non-Pokémon animal?endofheartaches said:In the GBA games?
Kthleen said:"Although GOREBYSS is the very picture of elegance and beauty while swimming, it is also cruel. When it spots prey, this POKéMON inserts its thin mouth into the prey's body and drains the prey of its body fluid."
Gore: "[to] wound by piercing with a sharp or penetrating object or instrument"

(....)
Wait a minute...that scale's pink! The ones Birch had earlier were brown! Were they just models?
And that tooth is gray and white!
