It wasn't opportunistic, I thought it was a scummy move, especially since my more recent experience with Max is him sheeping, not trying to start a wagon.

I'll admit it's not the biggest red flag ever though.

How am I acting out of character? As I said, in a past game I made it clear I would push a lynch on an inactive regardless of my alignment.

This got me thinking, his vote was on Eresh, maybe he did it to distance himself from a scum partner but at the moment that Eresh collected a good amount of votes he didnt feel confident in staying on the wagon, potentially losing an ally D1. With no other good case on a player he tries to go for inactives. This does make Max more suspicious, but either way, if they are both scum I'd rather remove Eresh first.
